Cops on the scene before the shooting, and STILL can’t get a straight story. Now a different firearm is blamed.

I’ve got no idea or information on that. The only .227 I and Pontiac mentioned in POST 5 was an early 1900’s Lever Action Rifle.

Other information I saw was the Rounds having a Stepped or Necked down Case so I’ll speculate Centerfire.
