That's why it's obvious to posters like you & I - we know what Trump has to do. It's simply, elementary historical precedent; mankind has been there, done that, countless times over thousands of years. This is how it always goes down - there aren't any short cuts, nor are there any ways to walk back events once the cascade begins.
I bet he doesn't want that. A Pardon implies guilt. Sidney wants to have this case thrown out. Which means complete innocence, and maybe financial restoration for Flynn.

It is President Lincoln's April 1861 call for volunteers, with a few names and places edited to fit our situation.
Obviously, President Trump has not issued such a call, and I think the odds favor his removal from office rather than his invoking the Calling Forth Act.
President Trump is three years older than me, and thinking big and outside of the box are both hard for old guys.

OTOH, I find Trump to be the very definition for “thinking big, and outside the box”. I’ve seen nothing quite like it, not single handedly in his case. There’s Patton, but even he had Command of battalions, issuing judgement and hell on the enemy. Trump is betrayed at every level, 24/7, for now years.
The reason Trump is unleashed with the ability to do so, I would attribute to his age & experience, which accommodated his natural born instincts of and genetic predisposition for fearless courage and intelligent risk taking.
This particular combination, of time, age and instinct is Extraordinary, Exceptional and seemingly Inexhaustible. Win or lose, his performance overall is definitely a Win.

The media also has to be included in these criminal charges whenever their culpability can be proven. This is the next step in Civil War Two.

In the House there is no opposition. And look what is going on there.
In the Senate there is no leadership. Look what they are contemplating there as it relates to impeachment, with no crime.
