Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is spearheading the resolution, which is backed by 44 GOP senators including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).
Graham, during a press conference with reporters, lashed out the House impeachment inquiry calling it a "secret proceeding" and a "rogue action" that "denies due process."
"The process in the House today I think is a danger to the future of the presidency," Graham told reporters.
He argued that under the current procedure Trump was "pretty much shut out," adding "God help future presidents."
The GOP senators not cosponsoring the resolution as of Thursday afternoon, according to a list from Graham's office, are: Sens. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), Cory Gardner (R-Colo.), Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.), Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.), Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.), Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska) and Rob Portman (R-Ohio).

Looks like nine assholes who want their seats turned blue.
They have their fat pensions and healthcare for life, and are probably getting fat bonuses from Soros to throw their future elections!
“Cory Gardner (R-Colo.),”
That bastard is trying to save his ass. He’s going to lose big time to Hickenlooper.
I’ve already “unsubscribed” to his emails and called his office.
Sens. Mitt Romney (Mormon-Utah), Susan Collins (Roman Catholic-Maine), Lisa Murkowski (Roman Catholic-Alaska), Cory Gardner (Lutheran-Colo.), Lamar Alexander (Presbyterian-Tenn.), Mike Enzi (Presbyterian-Wyo.), Johnny Isakson (Methodist-Ga.), Dan Sullivan (Roman Catholic-Alaska) and Rob Portman (Methodist-Ohio).
Isakkson is as swampy as it gets.
The thing is, though, his expiration date is coming, what with all his diseases. Doesn’t a person repent at the end of it all?
No an educated American people are the only way to stop this thing. The GOP is part of the thing we need to stop.
Incorrect. He is retiring and dying from Parkinsons.
How about this one
Senators and House Members voting to impeach and convict a popularly elected president because he is shining light on them robbing us blind can be shot on sight or hung by a mob.
Alexander has become a disgrace and a waste for the people of TN. He is not running for re-election and is building bridges to all parties.... spineless.
Big surprise, I would hope the last 5 on the list could be primaried by true conservatives and they could lose.
Even though these weenievanes should vote against this travesty, failing to do so at this stage is a lot different than voting for a conviction after all this is exposed for what it is in due course. Heck, I think it’d have a hard time even passing the whoring House and de indelectable Mitt.
Isakson - Up for re-election in what is turning into a purple state.
Isakson is leaving the office at the end of the year. Gov. Kemp is about to name his replacement.
I actually applied for the job, but received a letter notifying me I was no longer under consideration. At least I tried. I based my application on the U.S. Constitution and my work to defeat a 1% sales tax in Gwinnett county.
The usual suspects. How old is Lamar Alexander, anyway? He’s the poster boy for term limits.
Yup. Should be "so far".
Well, we now know who the traitors might be...
and there would only be 9(max).
Course, some of the names don’t surprise us in the least.
Thankfully, we in Georgia are almost rid of Isackson and those in Tennessee are almost rid of Lamar.
Perhaps Mike Lee got a look at his approval numbers. lol
If I ever move back to Ohio, Ill remember that.
Thank God above that Kansas is represented as those who have signed on! For you folks in the traitors districts, maybe time to write a few letters, make a few phone calls. Maybe contact Mitch’s office to get your senators in line.
YES! Exactly!
He is the poster boy for old fashioned DC corruption - you know - honest graft.
