HOUSTON -- A group of 30 fans at the Houston Rockets' season opener against Milwaukee held signs and wore shirts in support of anti-government protesters in Hong Kong on Thursday night.

Houston general manager Daryl Morey angered the Chinese government with a since-deleted tweet in support of the protesters earlier this month.

Tuesday's opening-night games were not televised in China in the wake of Morey's tweet, which caused tension between the NBA and Chinese officials.

God bless them. I wish this generation of Americans were as clear in their priorities.

Almost everyone in that picture looks miserable. Seriously, do they look like they’re having a good time? What a game the NBA has become. Pay big bucks to sit and be miserable and annoyed for 3 hours.

I really wish conservatives would give up their precious professional sports and prepare themselves.

Overpaid drug addicts can go pound sand.

Look at that crowd and tell me most of these people are not getting government assistance but can afford the price of one of these outrageously high cost tickets.

My last visit to Hong Kong was 1991 while it was still under British administration. What a vibrant amazing place. But even then businesses were anticipating the 1997 power switch and quite a few were bailing out to the American west coast or Canada’s Vancouver, Victoria.

Hong Kong has held on for 20+ years, but the communist/dictatorial death spiral is sadly inescapable.

Long live the memory of HONG KONG!
