If Walls don't work, why does the Pope have a 30 foot wall around the Vatican?

will destroy critical habitat and require the seizure of land from potentially hundreds of people in South Texas.

So would an eight lane high way with a choo-choo train in the middle from Texas to Duluth. Pay the land owners like you would any other government eminent domain claim.

I wish this section was higher than 18 feet. 28 feet would be better

Note Well: This is “new” Wall, where no barrier existed before.

The Rio Grande Valley (where this construction is occurring) has been the single heaviest trafficked corridor of the whole border - about 40% of total for the entire length of the border. This Sector is the most important, but also the most expensive and difficult to build, because of river flooding, hurricanes and about 400 private landowners. It is the main battle in securing the border - everything else that is needed will be cheaper, easier and faster.

This construction is part of one contract, out of eight that were awarded this year, in the Rio Grande Valley. About 100 (all new) miles of top of the line “Wall System”, loaded with great patrol roads, stadium lights, cameras, sensors and alarms feeding back into artificial intelligence monitoring software in the command center; is going to totally transform the Rio Grande Valley Sector of the Border.

It is a strategic success.
