MSNBC's Donny Deutsch on Thursday morning called Republican lawmakers who stormed a closed-door hearing on Capitol Hill to protest the impeachment inquiry into President Trump "middle-aged, boring, nerdy-looking white guys" and "pathetic people."

"When watching those Republicans yesterday march — those white guys, those middle-aged, boring, nerdy-looking white guys walk down those steps was pathetic," Deutsch, a marketing and branding expert, opined on "Morning Joe."

“I challenge all of those guys two and three years from now, because they are living today, Donald Trump is going to be viewed very differently a few years from now, and I can’t wait to be doing the campaign of anybody running against those guys to show these pathetic wienies walking down that step like lemmings, ” he continued.

“There was a 1984 Super Bowl commercial for Apple where they show these guys just marching in lockstep. How pathetic. How do you go home and look at your wife and children? They’re just pathetic people," Deutsch concluded.

House Republicans stormed the hearing on Wednesday to protest the impeachment inquiry process, which is led by House Democrats.

Donny obviously doesn't think "middle-aged, boring, nerdy-looking" people should be serving in Congress. As a conservative, I think that's exactly who should be there - after all, they're just 'hired help', who are supposed to be doing the people's business.

Progressives, on the other hand, seem to prefer congress critters who strike them as 'exciting' - former bar tenders, larcenous lawyers, people who marry siblings, 'sexting' addicts, "articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking" black guys, etc. If responsible government is the goal, I'll take boring nerds, any day...

Let me add to my comment #20, that not only is the poseur being quoted, clearly no respecter of American values & liberty; but his analytic ability is pathetic, in that he is too intellectually deficient to appreciate that the illogic of his insults renders him only a useful foil for patriots trying to rally support against the betrayers of aspirational America.

Any informed patriot would completely destroy him in a debate.

The Republicans were trying to get into the committee meeting, and had been locked out by the unconscionable actions of the committee chair person. There was no reason given for the lockout, but it became obvious the moment the chair person hustled the witness who was supposed to be testifying out the back door.

There was absolutely nothing “pathetic” about the Republicans demanding to be a part of the secret congressional committee meeting being foisted upon us by Adam Schiff. The Republicans should make certain that they are in the committee room each morning before the Democrats get there. They should occupy the room 24-7 if necessary to ensure their presence.

I will be sorely disappointed if they don’t. I except to be sorely disappointed because the Republicans have a yellow streak down their spines, and they are trying to convince us that it is caused by a liver disorder. We know better. It is a symptom of their cowardice.
