The Senate: Ratings Changes and the Shadow of Impeachment (Thom Tillis feeling the primary heat!)

Tillis, in particular, appears to be sweating the challenge from businessman Garland Tucker (R), as the incumbent has dropped $2 million on a pre-primary ad buy and is highlighting his backing from Trump. McSally and Tillis should both be OK in their primaries, but pressure from the right likely will keep them in line with their party on an impeachment vote, which could deprive them of crossover support in states that backed Trump in 2016 by about 3.5 points apiece but appear to be live targets for the eventual Democratic presidential nominee next year.

Tillis is weak in the knees.

We need shots across the bow for these worthless types!

Pat Roberts and Lamar Alexander barely made it through their primaries in 2014. They've both decided not to run again.

Primary challenges keep the Ruling Oligarchy in line!

McSalley is a disaster. She needs to be replaced in the primary.

McSally is most likely going to loose unless she stops listening to her McCain “advisers”.

Tillis and McSally will win their general elections ONLY IF they stand up strongly for President Donald J. Trump.

Here in NC, Tillis constantly running ads showing The Prez supporting him. I thought the Prez and Tillis were at odds? Especially with support for the border wall.

Got a phone poll about a week ago about the R primary in NC. I answered all negative on Tillis and pro for his challengers.

I saw that too. I think Trump should stay out of primary fights especially with asshats like thillis. Let them win or lose on their own and then support the winner o matter what. Also tell Mitch McConnell to stop giving idiots like thillis money. We want to clean up this party and its much harder when we have to fight the president in the primaries.

Tillis and McSally are both weak, tepid Republicans who are one step away from being squishy and willing to compromise on almost anything.

They need to be replaced by people with principle and courage who enthusiastically support President Trump and the Constitution and oppose the wicked schemes of the Left on every front..

I agree. Garland Tucker is solid and Tillis is a McCain follower. He will turn right after the election.
