Rep. Matt Gaetz slammed closed-door impeachment hearings with “no rules” that are being run by House Democrats acting like an “angry pack of rabid hyenas.”
The Florida Republican unloaded his frustration to Fox News host Tucker Carlson Wednesday, defending dozens of his GOP colleagues who stormed a secret hearing by House Intelligence, Foreign Affairs, and Oversight Committees in protest of the way Chairman Adam Schiff has been conducting the proceedings.
“What was the purpose?” Carlson asked the lawmaker on “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” referring to his leading members of the Freedom Caucus and other Republicans in storming the classified Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility where Democrats were interviewing Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Lisa Cooper on Wednesday.
“We had the audacity to want to know what in the world was going on behind closed doors where Democrats have engaged in a strategy of secret interviews, selective leaks, theatrical, weird performances of transcripts that never happened and then lies about whistleblowers,” Gaetz replied. “So it’s reasonable to suggest that we would want more transparency on behalf of the millions of people we represent.”
“Do you have a right under Congressional rules to demand it?” Carlson asked.
“There are no rules,” Gaetz responded.

Congress, as presently constructed, which has become a House of Lords with lifetime appointments and the creation of a ruling oligarchy, has out-lived its functionality.
For either legislative body: One term only, after which eligibility to hold federal legislative branch office ceases for life. All federal employees above a certain GS level must leave their positions upon the election of a president - and may only be rehired by an appointee of the new president. No unionization in any federal employment. Immediate elimination of the CIA and all non-defense intelligence positions. Elimination of the FBI, with the creation new federal law enforcement agency with limited jurisdiction, with a director that serves solely at the pleasure of the president as does any other cabinet officer and without a specter of employment.

The “House Intelligence Committee” is supposed to handle foriegn intelligence, not political coups. But the judiciary committee doesn’t have a SCIF.
The next time the Dirty Thirty show up outside Shitt’s Congressional Kangaroo Court Bunker, they should have Scottish Highland bagpipers playing continuously throughout the day.

The flaw with the current outrage is that it has no reasonable basis. The flaw is not that things are done in secret, it is that innocent and positive activity is being "converted" to nefarious action by speculation, misrepresentation, innuendo, and other sundry forms of rank dishonesty.
Fundamental dishonesty does not follow or respect rules. It bends rules out of recognition, it abuses rules, it hides behind rules and law.
Well, now the stage is public theater, and the DEMs have started down the path of the absurd. Play along with it, play along.
No. Use sunshine power. Instead of secrecy, the Senate Judiciary Committee should have open hearings under legal subpoena, where every secret witness from the Schiff chamber is deposed under oath, and if he brings the transcript of his Schiff testimony for reference, it has to be copied for review by the Committee. Television cameras and a court stenographer will be in use. Also, subpoena all the witnesses that refused to go to the Schiff chamber, and have them deposed. The WH counsel and Rudy will be present to cross-examine and offer evidence of their own.
The Schiff chamber is thus exposed and upstaged, and the people get to learn what really went on in an unbiased, due-process forum. Nancy and Schiff-head gnash their teeth but can do nothing.
Don’t ya love the entire media circus using the word: “stormed?” Were the stormtroopers carrying “assault rifles?”

Reason he is having it in a scif is probably to twist their words, lead the witness. And say they said things they didn’t say.
He was being too gentile and deferential to the Dems. Hyenas aren't that bad.

I always hated the taunting derision from the left when a court or other decision went against the good conservatives. They’d say “Ha! What are the conservatives going to do now, have riots at the country clubs? Ha, Ha.”
Rodney King? MLK? 1967 Detroit? Trayvon? Tens of millions of dollars in riot damage for days.
Also Reginald Denny, rest in peace, pulled out of his truck and beaten with punches, kicks and a cinder block while he was down in Los Angeles.
