Former President Barack Obama will reportedly speak at the funeral of late Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.).
"On Friday, @BarackObama will attend the service for @RepCummings," tweeted Obama spokesperson Katie Hill.
She added that Obama "will deliver remarks about the remarkable life and legacy of one of this country’s finest public servants” at the request of Cummings's wife and Maryland Democratic Party Chair Maya Rockeymoore Cummings.

Cummings will lie in state at the U.S. Capitol on Thursday.
The funeral service will be held in his hometown of Baltimore on Friday.

Oh, I certainly hope SO!! That egotistical stunt backfired big time as normal people were horrified at the brazen attempt to hijack a funeral for political purposes! I hope Obama goes off script and starts attacking the President and trying to defend his own pathetic job...if he makes Cummings funeral more about himself than the actual decedent, even the MSM won’t be able to cover completely for him!
Surely, you're kidding... Things have gotten significantly worse since 2002. Obama could use 90% of his eulogy criticizing Trump as a racist, xenophobic, fascist, neo nazi, and the media would cheer.
