President Trump should want a rapid impeachment process. The Ukraine story hasn’t been good for him, and there is only one way out — to get impeached, and the sooner, the better.
Impeachment is baked in the cake. There is no way that Democrats, having opened an impeachment inquiry, although without a vote, can pull up short now. How could they, after touting revelation after revelation, including a supposed “confession” by Trump’s chief of staff?
If there are Democrats in swing districts holding back the House from impeachment, Speaker Nancy Pelosi will have no option but to twist their arms to get to a majority when the time comes.
Trump should want it to come as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, if support for impeachment is about 50% or a little higher, there is every reason for Democrats to stretch it out. The current process suits their purposes nicely. They interview officials in private and then leak the most damaging parts. There’s no danger of public hearings bouncing the wrong way … because there are no public hearings at all.
But he should be secretly rooting for the rapid arrival of Impeachment Day.
It will be one of the biggest stories of the Trump presidency. Then, like everything else, it will grow old very fast. Impeachment won’t be forgotten, but it will fade into part of the tapestry of endless Trump controversies

We might actually see Trump win 45 states ... especially when the Senate trial could keep a Democrat candidate like Warren off the campaign trail.

I’m not sure Pelosi will even call a vote at this point. She needed to do something to quiet the rabid Squad types and probably hopes this will be enough to keep them content.
Strangely, the NeverTrumpers have been some of his biggest defenders on this score.
They will never hold a vote. Last thing on earth Democrats want is to turn it over to the Senate.
If Democrats impeach Trump and the Senate acquits him, the country will move on.

That’s why we hve to put heat on them. If your Member is a Dhimmicrap, call, write, and email demanding that they vote to impeach NOW. The sooner they do, the better, because it will destroy their majority.
Maybe some Republican ought to introduce it.

Issue an executive order that Trump is impeaching himself and send it to the senate.
The Democrats have nothing. Which is why everything is being done "in secret" and no proper vote (to initiate a formal inquiry) has been taken.
Also, Trump has not been hurt one iota by the totally fabricated "Ukraine" matter. It is Joe Biden who has been put back on his heels with his campaign in a tailspin.
The Dems want to drag this out until this time next year!..............
So they are saying we should do the wrong thing and let the impeachment sail through just because the Democrats are going to do it anyway even though it is pointless and wrong?
Since when is doing the right thing and just dropping this not even an option?
Just because a house impeachment won’t remove him from office doesn’t mean we should roll over and allow the act of impeachment to be cheapened and used as pointless political theater.
They don’t need to hear facts because they made their minds up in November 2016 anyhow.

He should be encouraging the Democrats to hold an Impeachment vote on whatever articles they can come up with.
In the best interests of the nation and all. After all, it’s the Democrats that are paralyzing the country’s government with their slow walk and many, many people would like to get this done and over with.
