Male personnel in the Royal New Zealand Navy will soon be allowed to wear makeup, false eyelashes and nail polish according to new gender-neutral guidelines.
The updates, that will come into effect next month, are intended to demonstrate that the RNZN make no distinction between male and female members in terms of appearance.
Chief of Navy Rear Admiral David Proctor told Newshub: “The NZDF can confirm that as of November 1, 2019, guidelines around grooming and appearance for Royal New Zealand Navy personnel will be updated.
“These updates are to reflect that the RNZN make no distinction between male and female members in terms of their personal grooming and appearance.”
The changes will allow male Navy personnel to wear fake eyelashes, discreet makeup and clear or pale nail varnish when in uniform. Long hair will also be permitted, provided it’s worn in a bun or single plait.
Proctor went on to claim the success of the RNZN depends on such diverse and inclusive changes.
“These changes reflect that diversity and inclusion are critical to our success as an organisation, as are the unique traditions and characteristics of the RNZN.”
So why can’t Trump stop this madness?

This is a direct result of the US being the big brother protector for the western world for the past 80 years. As long as the US was prepared to pay in blood and gold to protect the west, they did not have to build a strong military.
As it stands right now only the United States has a military that is both strong and combat tested. New Zealand can do this because their Navy is nothing more than a glorified Coast Guard with no real threats.
And if threaten they would expect others to come to their aid. I guess they have not noticed that the citizens of the US are tired of war and are tired of defending everyone one else while they get a free ride.

This is the far left Labor party (46 seats) in a coalition with far left Greens (8 seats) and the New Zealand First Party (Populist and Conservative 9 seats) to oppose the Nationals (conservative 56 seats) and the ACT (libertarian, 1 seat).
The New Zealand First party is supposed to be populist and conservative... Many of its party members are not happy.
The Nationals only need to pick up 4 seats and form a coalition with ACT to form a majority government.

Exactly correct. New Zealand leaders used to understand this. It was very clear during and after WWII.
Now they act as if peace is the norm and war a rare exception, as if no one covets their land and resources.
It is the same reason they feel free to disarm their population.
