Fox News analyst Andrew Napolitano directly quoted the Constitution to say why it’s wrong for President Donald Trump to host the G-7 at a resort he owns, calling it a “direct and profound” violation.

“He has bought himself an enormous headache now with the choice of this. This is about as direct and profound a violation of the Emoluments Clause as one could create,” Napolitano told Neil Cavuto on Cavuto: Coast to Coast.

“It’s a beautiful day in San Diego today, 78 and sunny with a light sea breeze. Joining us to disagree and reveal to us that the weather is actually quite treacherous is Judge Joseph Napolitano.”

“ROTFLOL!!! MY WONDERFUL PRESIDENT TRUMP is trolling all the asswipes and pearl clutchers into terminal PDS psychosis.”

ABSOLUTELY! would be wonderful when this thing is over, if Trump comps them all ... THEN the dying lying leftist fake stream enemedia would turn on a dime from “emoluments” to “bribery” ...

President Trump is playing with them. Like you would do with a cat and a laser pen.

So far President Trump has outsmarted and outmaneuvered them all. I half way believe he is setting this whole impeachment thing just to destroy them all.

Pelosi and her merry band of crooks think they are smart because... well the media tells them they are. They think they are safe because they have rigged the system. They think the people love them because they live in a bubble and they ignore anyone that is not part of them.

They seemed to overlook the fact that President Trump does not play by their rules nor have they bothered to find out just what President Trump’s hole card.

I understand he is providing the property at cost to the group. He is not making any profit. Just the publicity value.

Eddie Munster hates Trump because he asked Trump for a Supreme Court nomination and Trump said no. Eddie’s legal “analyses” are dead wrong at least 99% of the time. He’s worthless.

Ah...he isn’t President anymore. Not that I think he is not corrupt. But the Netflix thing was after.

You understand what emolument means, right?

Say the speaker entered congress broke...and then twenty years later she is worth $150 million. That would be emolument.

“I actually agree with Napolitano on this one.”

Trump is gaining/earning nothing from this group staying at Doral...

Trump is donating his salary to various organizations, one check at a time.

When folks on government business who stay at a Trump property, Trump donates the money to the US Treasury.

He has literally lost several BILLION dollars as president, as such: THE EMOLUMENTS CLAUSE IS MOOT!

It cannot be bad forum to have G&7 Reps. and staff stay at your high security resort if you are losing money on the deal.

Please rethink your position.

One could (and should) argue that having the G7 at Doral is a "Reverse Emoluments."

I'd argue that it's the foreigners who would be enticed to comply by having the meeting at Doral, rather than Trump being enticed by "emoluments" from having the meeting at Doral.

Yeah, just like JFK had foreign dignitaries meet at the Kennedy Compound at Hyannisport, and LBJ had some “over to the ranch.” Nixon had them at San Clemente. Judge Nappy is sooooo bitter that Trump ignored his campaign to squeeze out a Supreme Court nomination.

Cavuto and Napolitano. Again.

I guess they think it went like this:

“Trump Doral Hotel and Resort reservations. This is Donald, how may I assist you?”

“Funny thing that will happen is that Trump will pay for it all out of his own pocket.”

Mulvaney might have alluded to that very thing today. He said Trump won’t make a profit for this, just as he’s taking no paycheck as President. (Paraphrased.) Maybe the venue will be gratis, compliments of PDJT.

Heck, even Washington had foreign dignitaries meet at Mt. Vernon! DC hadn't been built yet...

I think Trump is doing this on purpose:

-Changes the headlines

-Shows he’s not scared of the dems and their stupid “impeachment” nonsense.

-Ensures he can have conversations with foreign leaders, without worrying about nancy-state-dept snitches.
