Former President Obama called on Canadian voters to reelect the country's embattled prime minister, Justin Trudeau, on Wednesday as Trudeau faces a tough reelection battle marred by racial controversies.
In a tweet, the former president harkened back to his time in the White House, commenting that Trudeau was a "hard-working, effective leader" who had led on issues such as climate change.

[Yep, Os endorsement is the kiss of death.]
Can’t wait for Obama to endorse the top crazy mullahs of Iran.
I mean, after he tried sending them cash, that is.

“Obama is attempting to influence a foreign election.”
Is he going to show some interest in our own election?

[COLLUSION !]
I think we need a Special Prosecutor to look into Barack Obama interfering in the elections of another country.
Probably will take over 2 years of looking into.

An endorsement by Obama (a half-black man) gives Trudeau a pass for doing blackface multiple times.

Unless U.S. Presidents and the U.S. Congress agree to uphold a legal ban on their meddling, or interfering in any way, in or out of office, to elections in other countries, then they should, collectively, quit complaining about “foreign influence or meddling” in U.S. elections; as it seems it is what nations do.
Why? Nations find it in their self-interest to do it. Call it wrong, but it is a reality.
What the people of the U.S. need to do is just be vigilant to exposing it, so more folks are aware of foreign influences and then can made judgements on it for themselves.

I just don't what people like Obama expect to get out of this. I mean, if a Canadian Prime Minister told ME how to vote, even if he were conservative, I would say (to myself), heck with you. I tend to vote for what is in my nation's best interest, not necessarily what may be in the best interests of Canada.
I mean, we get along with Canada and all, but I get the impression that they view us warily. An American president telling a Canadian how to vote? Sure, whatever you say...
...unless Obama views himself as some sort of 'citizen of the world' not tainted by association with America...

It’s entirely possible that Canada is where Barry Sotoero was really born.
FReeper Yaelle has a pretty good theory on that.
