Reports of a tank farm fire at the refinery in Crockett, CA. The tanks are some ways from the main plant, however the fire is spreading to other tanks. Three are alight so far.

I swear between this and all their wildfires, and homeless raw sewage dumping into the oceans, California hands down is the biggest polluter in the US. They are going to looooove thier gas prices!

It never occurred to me that a huge metal tank like that could catch fire. Yikes!
I just filled up for $2.22/gal in Huntsville, AL.
It’ll be $6 before long in CA.
They were ethonal tanks according to one report.
This afternoon, northeast Kentucky and southern Ohio prices suddenly jumped $0.30 per gallon, thought something like this or a pipeline failure happened somewhere much closer than California.
Not a refinery, “NuStar” is a storage/pipeline and distribution company. Ethanol and jet fuel burned.
Filled up yesterday for a trip Friday. Car was just under half a tank. $50. I looked on the side to see what the tax is now. It was either $.53 or .54 per 9/10. Just shook my head.
