I’ll admit to not being a fan of Ellen DeGeneres at all. Just seeing her face makes my skin crawl. I’ll leave the place due to seeing it.
Here, it seems she has said something I approve of. I can’t avoid saying something decent in return. I appreciate what she said knowing she would get blow-back.
John is good to back her here, and to say some decent things about Bush and Trump too.
If Ellen DeGeneres says decent things, a lot of people on the Left will hear it.

EJ has taken a lot of abuse over the years for all kinds of reasons. I think he has reached a point where he doesn’t really care all that much. He is retiring from the concert tours. His politics have generally been center left, which is to say wrong but not nuts. And his political errors and personal life aside, he has done a lot of good work for charity. I wish him well.
Frankly I think this is all self-defense. The HWood left now realizes they could be just as much a target as a right winger when you let the mob control the nuclear power plant.

Got to see Elton John in concert some years ago. He put on a hell of a show. Always liked him, regardless of his politics. He always seemed to be more private about them than most celebrities.
