Gavin Newsom recall petition: 600,000 signatures expected by end of October

Efforts to recall California Governor Gavin Newsom are beating expectations, having reached 150,000 signatures three weeks after launching. According to the petition’s originator, Congressional candidate Erin Cruz, the petition is expected to hit 600,000 signatures by the end of this month.

The petition needs to have 1.5 million signatures by February 13, 2020. Cruz is shooting for 2.4 million to make sure enough get certified. If the recall petition reaches its signature requirements, California will hold a new gubernatorial election. Newsom will be forced to step down if he loses. The last time a recall petition was successful in California was 2003 when Gray Davis was recalled and prohibited from running again because of term limits.

What it does is saves it to a file in your computer. You then have to retrieve it from your file.

Newsom isn’t the problem. He’s merely a deck chair on the Titanic. CA needs a come to Jesus moment and realize that their continued voting for leftist crap is going to keep destroying the state, regardless of who is in Sacramento.

"If the recall petition reaches its signature requirements, California will hold a new gubernatorial election. Newsom will be forced to step down if he loses."

Um...if he looses the election, there is no need to "force" him to step down. Newsom is a nutbar lefty...but if he loses the election, he's not going to attempt to stay in office. It just wouldn't happen.

"Yet after Stupinegger the people put Brown back in. And then the disaster named Newsom. What in the HELL is wrong with people?"

Even though CA has, arguable, the most registered (R)'s of any state in the country, > 4,800,000 (Since Texas doesn't register by party, harder to determine numbers), ...more than the entire populations of states #25 (Louisiana) - 50 (Wyoming), there are just that many more libs and illegal aliens voting in the state.

One judge’s vote will over rule 600,000 subjects.

It happens all the time out on the Left coast.

The soapbox gets shut down (aka Fakebook)

The ballot box gets ignored.

One other box remains.

I predicted this would occur as soon as the power was shut off.
Gray Davis faced the same fate 2 decades ago and Gavin clearly did not learn the lesson.
The people of Kalifornia are obviously willing to tolerate an incredible amount of incompetence and idiotic laws from Sacramento, but they do not take kindly to their power being shut off absent a major earthquake.
The problem is that we do not care to bring Ahnuld out of retirement to replace Gavin, and Clint is a bit old.

Every California Republican should sign this petition.

I'm sure both already have.

Every California Republican should sign this petition.

Also, everyone should ask California Democrats to sign! I convinced roughly 3 dozen Democrats to sign the Davis recall petition. About a dozen at dinner parties in San Mateo county and the rest while harassing street activists in Santa Cruz and San Francisco. I even persuaded devout Communists to sign! I'm not a California state resident any more but since the FTB recently decreed I owe $10000 more for 2016 I think I may be directly supporting this petition drive on my next visit, unintended consequences y'know...

More like what the Hell is wrong with the voting system in California, land of the criminal migrant voting block.
