Efforts to recall California Governor Gavin Newsom are beating expectations, having reached 150,000 signatures three weeks after launching. According to the petition’s originator, Congressional candidate Erin Cruz, the petition is expected to hit 600,000 signatures by the end of this month.
The petition needs to have 1.5 million signatures by February 13, 2020. Cruz is shooting for 2.4 million to make sure enough get certified. If the recall petition reaches its signature requirements, California will hold a new gubernatorial election. Newsom will be forced to step down if he loses. The last time a recall petition was successful in California was 2003 when Gray Davis was recalled and prohibited from running again because of term limits.

I’ve signed and I’m pushing signing it to everyone eligible. He makes Grey Davis seem almost sane and competent by comparison.
There were 4.7 million Cox-votes (the 2018 GOP candidate in Cal). So you’d need to go and get half of them to sign this. It’s a pretty high number but it shouldn’t be a hard problem considering you’ve got a couple of months.

That’s so true. Yet after Stupinegger the people put Brown back in. And then the disaster named Newsom. What in the HELL is wrong with people?

I agree with the sentiment but in practical terms is probably just a bunch of wasted effort to see another screaming far leftist get elected in to replace him.

Californians should recall their entire state government and constitution, then break-up California into two States (one red, one blue).

In a sane world, the Democrat Party would be subject to criminal and civil penalties in concurrent RICO actions, and be declared a criminal organization and be banned from holding any elective office nationwide.
