A Portland activist died after being hit by an SUV early Saturday near a Northeast Portland cidery and left-wing hangout, according to multiple people who knew him.
Police identified Sean D. Kealiher, a 23-year-old Portland resident, as the man who was hit after leaving Cider Riot, a Couch Street gathering place for antifascists, anarchists and other leftists. Shots were fired at the car after it hit Kealiher, and the vehicle crashed into a building.

I can’t take that attitude. He was 23. I was a far Leftist at 23. By 35 I was a Republican. In 2007 I left the R party since it wasn’t conservative nor interested reining in the national debt. Now I’m an Indy on the Right.

They’re schpiel didn’t sound right to me, so I kept an open mind. This guy was probably in Minneapolis last week.

Were gunshots fired into the SUV before, or after, the pedestrian was struck? If I accidentally hit someone with my car, someone who is coming out of a bar who may be drunk, and people start shooting at me, I am going to do my best to leave the scene and deal with the consequences later.
Typical left-wing hack job. No information has been released about the incident but the author cites a brawl “provoked” by right-wing groups outside the joint a few months ago.
The SUV hates buildings, too.
Funny how the pathetic report fails to mention what happened after it crashed into one after being shot at.
Oh...one more thing: A good reason to be armed at any event populated by leftists (if there weren’t enough good reasons already).
Just curious: Are we going to see the police report for where all those stray bullets went as the other “activists” shot at the alleged offending vehicle???

Funny. Article says shots were fired at the SUV after it hit the activist and then crashed. No word about who fired the shots, the condition of the SUV driver after the crash, nor the circumstances of how the initial accident took place. Police picked up but the released his friends who were with him.
The article instead goes into how the cider joint is a hangout for left-wing activists, how a right-wing supposedly came by back in May to cause trouble, and how it’s currently for sale.
I don’t think we’re getting the whole story.
I can’t blame the driver of the SUV for not stopping. He was fired on by someone in the crowd of angry fascist. There is a lot of information missing from this story. How did the fascist get hit by the vehicle? How do they know the shot was fired after the fascist got hit and not before? I wouldn’t have stopped either if I was being shot at by someone standing in a crowd of fascist.
If I'm driving an SUV and someone shoots at me, well let's just say 10,000lbs beats 100gr nearly every time...
