Several TV networks have agreed to air an underwear commercial portraying a surreal world where men and boys menstruate. The ad opens with an anguished young teenage boy sheepishly telling his dad, I think I got my period.
Dad later hugs him and tells him, Its just part of growing up.
Many of the nine rapid-fire vignettes in the one-minute, 20-second ad are jarring: a man rolls over in bed, revealing blood-stained sheets; in a public bathroom, a man passes a tampon to another beneath a toilet stall partition; and a man walks through a locker room with a tampon string dangling from his briefs. In one, as a young man and woman suggestively kiss, he stops to say, Im on my period.
As of last week, the commercial was slated to run on 18 channels beginning today, according to a Fast Company report that explained the ad has been selectively edited for certain networks squeamish about some of the content.

I hadn't noticed.
My kids will never see this. They watch nothing that is not on YouTube. An entire generation is growing up that will place zero value on network and cable programming.
Sick.
You mean there is a difference between men and women? Does the Left know? Does the government know? Does the LGBTQ crowd know?
Of all the utter insanity running rampant these days, this may be THE most insane !
What’s next? Women requiring prostate exams?
How can they even depict that? Never mind; I don’t really want to know.
When I was a kid, Rogaine commercials wouldn’t even tell you that it was used to grow hair for men, because even something like that was considered taboo.

I suppose that ED is an actual fact in some circumstances, male menstruation is NOT. Your comment lacks intelligence.
(And, why do you only mention those commercials being on conservative talk radio? Don't they show up anywhere else?)
Girls don’t brag about it. In fact, girls are still very reticent to discuss, expose or blare the time-of-the-month to the world.
Walking around wearing a pair of light colored pants or skirt and not realizing the stain that has spread across the back is still upsetting no matter what these freaks think.
Pretending you are a man with a period is stupidity. But, what can one expect from the media and the louche thinkers who comprise it not to mention the mentally ill who subject everyone else to their delusions.
Yes, delusions.
Doesn’t Schiff menstruate? That’s why he’s so scattered recently, making things up, not knowing fact from fiction. That little string hanging from his pants? Just that time of the month no doubt.
;-)
Channels that most normal people don't watch...
Discovery Networks HGTV, the Food Network...
Because menstruation goes so well with food and house shopping.
...and AMCs WE TV...
I'm certain that women will be sensitive to watching the "male" problem of menstruation.
...and A&E...
Obviously "reality TV" isn't reality TV...
...will show a tampon-string-free version.
I'm truly glad that these networks will show some sensitivity to those of us who find this entire thing mentally deranged.

..... looking forward to it, kid.
Nice find! Love these old vintage photos.
I totally agree.
that’s true. 2 shows i listen to have ads for boner meds. eye roll.
Clown World.
How about a video about men tricking women into having a baby, that they get to decide if they want to keep it or kill it with the woman being forced to pay for it or go to prison?
