Good morning, Pat. I have to comment on Yovanovich, a career foreign service officer. First, when a new President is elected, all ambassadors must submit their resignations. An ambassador is the President's personal representative in a country.
In practice, most career ambassadors are left in place until their tour of duty is completed. About 50% to 70% of our ambassadors are career officers. Yovanovich was allowed to stay by Trump when he assumed office in 2017 and her posting was only cut by two months. The President needs no reason to remove an ambassador who serves at his pleasure.
The appointment of an ambassador starts with achieving what is called agreement' from the host government. It is obtained from the host government who must agree to accept that person. No agreement', no appointment. This is all done in a classified manner, not in public.
Based on the transcript, it appears that Yovanovich not only lost the trust of Trump, but also, the host government. In such cases, the ambassador is removed. I personally saw a US ambassador removed because the host government approached the WH and asked for his removal. It was done quickly by Bush 41.
I find this whole episode of the firing of the ambassador to be ridiculous on its face. Yovanovich has no rights or recourse. It has nothing to do with being unfair. She lost the confidence of the President and the host government. She should have been dismissed much earlier.

Watched the Peter Schweitzer documentary on Clinton Cas focused on how the Clintons leveraged SOS and the link of foundation etc. Chelsea was part of that organization and if anyone thinks she’s different than her grifter parents they are delusional.

The Mueller inquisition was just a massive, taxpayer funded ops research on Trump and his campaign. The clamor for the release of the grand jury information by the Dems indicates to me that they know what is in there and want it made public to hurt Trump. I haven't the slightest doubt that Weissmann was keeping Schiff and Warner informed about what was happening within the investigation and advised as to what to ask for. Totally corrupt.
