What will happen is US food prices will shoot thru the roof because they will be selling our supply overseas. Happens every time with free trade, supply leaves here, prices go up up up. A great deal for American consumers. NOT
To: clearcarbon
Of course it will. Just like using corn to make ethanol, sending grain overseas will jack up prices at home because supply will be down. Another farmer boondoggle. When they cant sell, they get subsidies. When they can sell prices go thru the roof. Who said farmers lose money?

Hold on here that little Rat Cavuto said caved and we got rolled. Hmm..who to believe?

I don’t know the exact formula but I think the going rate is a 25% spiff back to the supporting Communist’s...oops...I mean Congressperson’s campaign.

At least I'll be able to decide whether or not I want to buy the product, say, brussel sprouts. With subsidies, you have no choice. You pay for it whether the sprouts ends up in your shopping cart or not.

China runs the Panama Canal, which many Americans died of malaria and other issues to build.

Ethanol will collapse if this trade deal goes through.
Farmers will sell to the highest bidder.
Time will tell.

Another of Carter’s brilliant maneuvers.
Granted, the end of our lease was coming, but Carter didn’t make any effort to re-up the lease, sweetening the deal if need be.
Iran, the Panama Canal, and North Korea’s nukes are Carter’s tree main legacies to the nation, and it’s clear he thinks he should be able to screw something else up before he goes down the river Styx.

Except soybeans and byproducts are used in so many things, like corn, that when their price goes up, its effectively unavoidable that well all pay.

It sounds like the sort of deal China loves - create some headlines for American politicians buying a big amount of jets or soybeans, but keep the long-term, top-down, mercantilist, IP thieving, strategic practices they always have.

If the size of the pie doesn’t increase then, yeah, maybe prices will increase. I’m guessing the size of the pie will increase.

Can't help wondering if that will drive up the cost of groceries.
When added to the crop damage due to floods this year? Count on it.

China agreed to raise its agricultural purchases to between $40 billion and $50 billion from $8 billion to $16 billion and to make certain reforms on intellectual property and financial services. The U.S. will not raise tariffs on Oct. 15 from 25 percent to 30 percent. If Hillary had been elected, her "Foundation" would have benefit from one-sided deals with the Chinese - while the American people would have one more 'bad' trade deal to put up with... I thank God Trump is in there fighting for all of us...
