Full disclosure: There have been some nasty long-term consequences for the girl. I doubt that the dots will be connected but I wonder if some of it didn’t begin with those hormone injections.

That's a shame, poor girl. My daughters developed normally in their early teen years, so I haven't seen this happen. Guess my kids were late bloomers (compared to 6-year-olds).

Actually, we HAVE been doing this to dogs and cats for over a decade now. Pediatric neuter and spay (i.e. done before puberty), has been SOP in the veterinary profession for quite some time now, despite its proven risks of things such as unusual growth (as the growth plates never properly close due to absence of normal pubertal hormones), and short-lived, crippled adult animals.

Parents are imposing puberty blockers on their child if they think the child was "born in the wrong body," e.g. son Tom wants ballet shoes and sequined apparel for his 11th birthday, therefore he is "really" a girl "inside," therefore they need to block puberty so that disturbing mannish characteristics will not develop.

It would be far easier to just say, "OK, Tom is a boy with a personal sense of style who wants ballet shoes and sequins," rather than saying "He is really girl."

Let him mow lawns to rise the money to by his own sequins. He'll decide soon enough that what he really wants is a T-shirt with a collie dog's face on it.

And that doesn't mean he's "really" a trans canine.

Puberty blockers can make a child infertile. In about 10-20 years the question will be how did we let this happen? And we will be once again supposed to listen to those that are now advocating for the use of these drugs as the “experts” and how they “didn’t know” and need to sue and make money over the agenda they pushed. But we know! As for a 6 year old going through puberty, there may be a way to slow the process down without irreparable damage. But I am very leery of the use of puberty blockers as a whole.

I’ve been saying for awhile that parents who encourage/subject their kids to any of this transgender nonsense including puberty supression, opposite sex hormones, etc are guilty of child abuse and should have their kids taken from them-they should also be sent for psychotherapy because they have Munchausen by proxy...

My vet will not neuter/spay a pet before they are at least 7 months old-she says there are too many things that can go wrong later on-she will be neutering my newest cat-a black kitten named Merlyn-the runt of a large litter-I adopted him at 2 months-she will neuter him in about 2 months, when he is 7-8 months old. She neutered my other male cat, an orange persian at 7-8 months-he is a healthy 16 pound 14 year old cat now-it is pretty sad when vets have more scruples about kittens and puppies than some parents and docs do about human kids...

What amazes me is that most states (properly) have an "age of consent" law declaring that teens must be 16 or so years old -- before they are "mature enough to consent to having sex".

Yet the liberals are forcing the idiocy that toddlers to pre-teens (who mostly can't even define "sex") are mature enough to consent to CHANGING their sex or "gender" (whatever that is)!!!

Sheer, evil INSANITY!!!

That fits with what I was saying. Calling gender a “construct” (meaning: all in the mind) is just a non-judgmental way of calling it a subset of fetishes (also, all in the mind). I prefer to stick to gender = construct; sex = biology; because it's backed up by the dictionaries. I.e., it's actually the correct word usage; while conflating the two is wrong at best, and often devious (intended to muddle things. Substituting fetishes for gender is more likely to provoke arguments than it is to convince — so, the word usage depends on your audience. If they can't be convinced, you might as well get your digs in.
