A California judge is crippling the nation’s immigration enforcement system, amid the myriad examples of murders and crimes committed by illegal migrants, ICE director Matt Albence said at a White House press conference.
Immigration enforcement is “being singled out and marginalized in ways that no other federal law enforcement organization has to tolerate,” he said. “Tying our hands from the bench does not make our country any safer.”
The judge’s action was prompted by an ACLU lawsuit, which argued that some U.S. citizens were being misidentified as migrants by police databases. The judge announced September 27 he would end ICE’s authority to detain individuals — including illegals who are arrested and held in state or county jails — when arrests are based solely on evidence in databases. Once arrested, migrants are not deported until a judge orders their deportation.
The California judge is André Birotte Jr. He is the son of Haitian immigrants and was nominated by President Barack Obama. His ruling applies just to actions in Southern California, but that is where ICE has one of its major data centers, the Pacific Enforcement Response Center, in Laguna Niguel, California.

I’m more concerned with where Lindsey Graham is on this crap.
Among the VACANT District Court Judgeships are:
13 in New York State (of which 6 are in the Southern District of New York).
6 in New Jersey.
14 in California.
4 in Washington State.
Since he has been in office, President Trump has not been able to get a single District Court judge—Thanks to LINDSEY GRAHAM and the Blue Slip process that he allows the DemocRATS to use as an unconstitutional VETO of Trump’s judicial appointment powers.
Can you imagine how much better things would be if the Southern District of New York included 6 Trump judges? Can you imagine if the District Courts in California included 14 young Trump judges whose names would be included when the random draws are made to assign Judges to new cases?

No, he didn’t eliminate the Blue Slip for District Judges, only for appellate judges. What Mitch did do (earlier this year) was change the cloture debate time for District Court Judges from 30 hours to 2 hours. THAT was a very good change. But it might as well be 10,000 hours for those who Lindsey Graham won’t let out of the Judiciary Committee because of the DemocRATS’ abuse of the Blue Slip process,
There will actually be a NEW YORK District Court nominee who is scheduled to receive a confirmation vote next week when the Senate returns from recess. I’m not sure why Schumer and Graham have allowed this unless they’re concerned about more people becoming aware of this Blue Slip “Blue Wall”. I want to see the Judicial Nominee flood gates open.
