The Trump campaign rally in Minneapolis on Thursday marks the beginning of the presidential re-election campaigns intense efforts to win the state of Minnesota in 2020.
It is a full-on major effort state campaign, Trump campaign spokesperson Tim Murtaugh told the New York Times in a story published early Thursday morning.
President Trump narrowly lost the states ten electoral college votes by about 44,000 votes in 2016, the best Republican showing in Minnesota since President Richard Nixon won the state in the 1972 presidential election.
The Times reported in its Thursday story:
Brad Parscale, the presidents campaign manager, is planning to pour tens of millions of dollars into the campaigns Minnesota operation, compared with the $30,000 the Trump campaign spent on the state last cycle. The campaign already has 20 paid staff members in the state, and expects to expand to 100. And the campaign and the Republican National Committee are outspending Democrats by about four to one on digital advertising, according to campaign officials and local Democratic Party officials.
Democrats are taking note of the Republican efforts and have voiced concerns that Minnesota may actually be in play in 2020.
Over the last 25 years, Ive never seen an investment as robust and deep this early by a Republican presidential candidate, Ken Martin, chairman of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party told the Times.
And we will have the resources behind it to make it count, Murtaugh added

If he lost by 1.5 percent BEFORE he accomplished anything, he could win it.
Unless I have the wrong state :)
Good strategy but Trump has to provide more substance. The GOP needs to become a working class party, or it’s doomed to extinction. The RNC is happy to wait out Trump and go back to being the Washington Generals for Wall Street and Silicon Valley cheap labor donors.
Excellent. They are working hard, and we hope it will have the desired result.
4 more years to MAGA!
I think he is going to need it because Democrats in Michigan are doing everything in their power (same-day registration, radical whacko Secy. of State) to see he can’t win that state again.
I think that may be many states.
Starts at 5:00 PM west coast/Arizona time.
Despise the dems voted in in Michigan. It’s as if we are run by another country
The 2020 race is going to be VERY ugly. Dirty tricks galore, I’m afraid.
“Good strategy but Trump has to provide more substance. “
what the hell are you talking about?
Trump has been the most substantive President in my lifetime of 68 years, and easily in the top ten in U.S. history ... by the end of eight years, he’s likely to be in the top five and OUGHT to be added to Mt. Rushmore ...
Don’t forget the Rats got 4 high Dem turnout ballot initiatives on the MI Nov 18 Ballot. The GOP SOS could have gotten all on the August Primary Ballot. That is how you conduct Political war. The Rats have perfected this trick and as result the Rats flipped the Governor, the AG and the SOS.
That’s more an indictment on the Post-War presidents than anything else.
If Trump is serious, he’d scuttle all the H1B “we need more legal immigrants” talk. He’s being pressured into it, and he needs to tell the Chamber of Commerce to get lost.

Hopefully Omar and the dums’ big swing left will sway enough voters there to make the difference.
The left is now FAR more like ‘’Lenin’’ and the quest for power and less like just ‘’Marx’ and the economy!
W00t!
Is there any word on protesters outside????
The GOP is Trump's party now. You noticed that the remaining establishment Republicans are not speaking out against Trump. I just seen a clip of the crowds in Minneapolis and it is unprecedented what is happening now. Trump has united the GOP like never before.
Coming soon:
WHERESS HUNTER? TShirts.
