Nearly two-thirds of North American birds studied will go extinct if global warming hits 3 degrees Celsius (5.4˚F), a new report from the National Audubon Society finds.
Orioles, eagles, grouse and gulls are among 389 types of bird - 64% of 604 species assessed on this continent - that are highly or moderately vulnerable to climate change, the study says.
The stark warning follows research published last month that showed the U.S. and Canada had lost 2.9 billion birds in about the last 50 years.
The existential threat to birds also impacts humanity. As canaries warned coal miners of invisible death in the industrial era, now birds of every shape and size can be life-or-death alerts in the age of global warming.
But if humanity can somehow escape the proverbial coal mine in time and hold warming to the Paris Accord target of 1.5 degrees Celsius (2.7˚F), 76% of the most vulnerable species should survive, the Audubon study states.
Using latest climate models from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, they examined the habitats of 604 North American species. Given projected increases in drought, heat, fire, rain and other factors, they found that 389 of the species studied would likely not survive in a world 3 degrees hotter.

I hope that in the next presidential address Trump tells people that people in the media deserve every bit of scrutiny that he’s been under from day 1.
Just because they are on TV or occupy prominent positions in the media does not make them credible, honorable people whose comments should be accepted as plain truth. If the #metoo movement has taught us anything, it has revealed the industry to be full of lying scumbags who don’t deserve the time of day.
Huge windmills and solar farms for “generating” electricity are threatening birds and animals of every species, by either sending them through a great Cuisinart in the sky, or by disturbing delicate habitat for the construction of solar collection panels, which destroy the local vegetation cover and interrupt the cycles of smaller ground-dwelling species.
And these “green” energy sources are not reliable anyway, so why are they being built?

Odd how every year in October, commonly referred to as one of the fall or autumn months, the leaves change color before they fall from the trees and die... Then comes winter. This cycle has been happening for eons and will continue for eons... And the color changes due to a lack of sunlight... And that’s why we have winter, spring, summer and fall. Because the earth tilts a few degrees this way or that way... And it has absolutely nothing to do with the amount of CO2 in the air.

Normal people, the real experts, say that the green New Deal and environmentalism threaten tens of millions and probably billions of human beings with extinction.
Obviously normal people have skewed priorities.

And shut down the solar farms which roast birds, and the windmills which slice them.
Well, we only have 11.5 years left, so I guess it doesn’t matter.
I call it BS. With that being said, there seems to be no decline in the damn house sparrows and starlings whose numbers seem to be growing exponentially...
