The War Zone has been reporting on a set of bizarre patents assigned to the U.S. Navy that describe radical new technologies that could absolutely revolutionize the aerospace field, and frankly, the very way we live our lives. These include high-energy electromagnetic fields used to create force fields and outlandish new methods of aerospace propulsion and vehicle design that basically read as UFO-like technology. You can learn all about these patents, their viability, and the issues surrounding them in these exclusive features of ours. Now, the same mysterious Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division engineer behind those patents has produced another patentone for a compact fusion reactor that could pump out absolutely incredible amounts of power in a small spacemaybe even in a craft.
Energy dominance has become a cornerstone of American military policy as laboratories seek to develop the Holy Grail of power generation: nuclear fusion. These attempts at developing stable fusion reactors utilize incredibly powerful magnetic fields in order to contain the nuclear reactions occurring inside. Creating a stable fusion reaction is difficult enough, but some laboratories are going even further by attempting to create compact reactors small enough to fit inside shipping containers or even possibly vehicles.

Same Navy group has some crazy far out patents like room temp superconducters and other holy grail stuff.
” Trump keeps hinting about super weapons and stealth is so 1980’s.”
I still remember one guy who worked (and retired from Skunkworks and Area 51, stating “whatever tech you saw on Star Trek? We have it”.
How much to rent a holosuite?
Can you imagine the economic impact that simply two innovations would have?
Compact fusion reactors - huge impact to coal mining and oil/gas (still need it for plastics) industries.
Teleportation - major reduction if not elimination of logistics and warehousing industries.
I’ll take one of each please.
*ping*
If we had those, 90% of the population would go in and never come out again. Like myself.
Mr. Fusion?
At least until their bank accounts ran out and Quark had to shut off the power.
Goodbye propellers, hello conventional jet..
Goodbye conventional jet, hello ram jet..
Goodbye ram jet, hello scram jet..
Goodbye scram jet, hello electromagnetic force field propulsion!
It was only a matter of time, and I've been told we're ALREADY using a craft 'propelled' by electromagnetic force fields..
Remember the 'Phoenix lights' over Phoenix? I've been told that is a United States military craft!
And the ultimate destruction of the Teamsters union.
It’s a damned crime if we have this stuff and are not using it to colonize the stars!!!!
...whatever tech you saw on Star Trek? We have it.
I'm one of those weirdos who believes the Apollo missions continued secretly far beyond Apollo 17.
I hope they cryo me and I would like to buy that one in the future :)
Hard to believe the husband cheated on her in real life..
I’d rent one for my wife so she could go to a simulation of the miserable SC state Fair with a hologram version of me programmed to enjoy it.
I absolutely despise the sc state Fair for several reasons.
The gal whose (now-ex, I believe) husband made enough of a mess, that it paved the way for Barack Hussein Obama.
seven of nine would kill me..... What a way to go
Even worse, Barack Hussein Obama was able to get his seat.
