We will have to see. The concept for the levee wall was originally 18 foot bollards, on top of the concrete levee wall (which would vary in height according to local elevation, relative to the flood high water mark, but 8-10 feet of concrete base was common).

There seems to have been more of a shift toward 30 footers across the board, as the program has progressed - it may be one of the standard options that the Government can exercise on these contracts. They are still building some 18 footers in rural New Mexico, but most of the current construction are now 30 footers.

With a tight installation of anti-climb plate at the top, and a few rolls of concertina, 30 footers will deter or defeat all but the most elite intruders (like circus acrobats, or international jewel thieves). Even those few will be detected by the technology package that goes in with the bollards, and the chase will be on. Actually, 18 footers with anti-climb plate were considered over-the-top high security, until President Trump came along. The new stuff is really a complete showstopper for the average man in the street - just totally out of the question.

On Oct. 15, CBP stated 73 miles completed. We Build the Wall announced that Project 2 has begun. But won't say where due to security concerns. Although it won't take long for the tree-huggers, prairie fairies and assorted squirrels in general to find out.

Also, We Build the Wall announced planning for Project 3. But again, no hint as to where.

I don’t like that small cemetery cut off. I don’t like that road that was obviously used, to have to be cut off.
