The White House says it ain’t gonna play Pelosi and Schiff’s “Impeachment” game. In what’s being described as “perhaps the most historic letter the White House has sent,” White House counsel Pat Cipollone tells Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff:
President Trump and his administration reject your baseless, unconstitutional efforts to overturn the democratic processes. In order to fulfill his duties to the American public, the Constitution, the Executive Branch, and all future occupants of the Office of the Presidency, President Trump and his administration cannot participate in your partisan and unconstitutional inquiry under these circumstances.
These circumstances referring to the unprecedented trashing of historic congressional norms.
For example, there has not been a formal vote in the House to open an impeachment inquiry. “In the history of our nation, the House of Representatives has never attempted to launch an impeachment inquiry against the president without a majority of the House taking political accountability for that decision by voting to authorize such a dramatic constitutional step.”
Rep. Schiff is another issue:
In any event, the American people understand that Chairman Schiff cannot covertly assist with the submission of a complaint, mislead the public about his involvement, read a counterfeit version of the call to the American people, and then pretend to sit in judgment as a neutral ‘investigator.’
Schiff lied about his staff meeting with the so-called whistleblower — who it’s now been confirmed was in a professional relationship with a 2020 candidate.
The letter also lists the assorted ways the House is violating President Trump’s basic due process rights.
For example, Democrats are not allowing presidential or State Department counsel to be present during the current inquiry. The procedures also do not provide for the”disclosure of all evidence favorable to the president and all evidence bearing on the credibility of witnesses called to testify in the inquiry.”
Nor does Trump have “the right to see all evidence, to present evidence, to call witnesses, to have counsel present at all hearings, to cross-examine all witnesses, to make objections relating to the examination of witnesses or the admissibility of testimony and evidence, and to respond to evidence and testimony.”
There’s another word for what the House is attempting: “Inquisition.”
However, the letter isn’t the only sign the president is lacing up for a furious fight. Former congressman Trey Gowdy, fresh off the House Intelligence committee, has joined Trump’s legal team.

It ought to made very clear to Pelosi that evidence now exists that the corruption in the Ukraine involved her and Biden’s sons who were appointed no show high paying jobs to Ukrainian energy companies. Neither had any expertise. It would appear that they were laundering bribes and kickbacks. A thorough investigation and prosecutions are necessary. There must be equal justice under the law.
I suspect Trump will deliver that news soon.

The networks will parrot it and try with the Democrats to take down Trump. Will not work. I think Pelosi lost the House 2 weeks ago, but now she is looking down the barrel of a 1994 style wipeout. Not to mention Warren v. Trump...Trump gets 350+ EVS and that thing is over once the mountain states come in. The Democrats have set out to sail and lit their ship on fire. There still is a smokey backroom in the Democrat party and they will say “Enough Nancy”. She perisists and expects a stroke or cancer diagnosis for Nancy..wink, wink, with her having to resign.
All this Dems lying and media lying is reinforcing something that I have observed as epidemic among Americans - People are sick of the crap from Washington and SICK of POLITICIANS. Everyone I talk to, people are sick of this nonsense. The beneficiaries are outsiders, hmmm, people like Trump fighting the swamp. When the impeachment effort is without legal norms and the person who is attempting to force it through is in line to seize the Presidency it raises the stakes to the level of a Coup attempt and Sedition.
Whoever signs on to this illegal attempt to overthrow the government should be dragged out of Congress and charged with a Felony barring them from any further government service for life and canceling any pensionsm.
