Haven’t been overly impressed with Trey.
I think his voting was decent, but perhaps someone will enlighten me on that too.
The point is, it strikes me as not so good an idea to pick folks out of the House and Senate, since we need to keep or recover our majorities there.

We at FR can have differences with Gowdy, but I think he’s gonna be a good spokesmen to the general Repub public.

Previously he had no legal clout. Oversight does not have prosecutorial powers. Now Gowdy is in a position to assist in bringing about justice.

I don’t think he ever lost a case as prosecutor.

Gowdy is no longer in the House.
I am convinced he left the House in order to take up an office that has prosecutorial clout.
