A new peer reviewed study by Danish academics has found that ethnic diversity has a negative impact on communities because it erodes trust.
It turns out that diversity is not a strength after all. The study, entitled ‘Ethnic Diversity and Social Trust: A Narrative and Meta-Analytical Review’, was conducted by Peter Thisted Dinesen and Merlin Schaeffer from the University of Copenhagen and Kim Mannemar Sønderskov from Aarhus University.
Seeking to answer whether “continued immigration and corresponding growing ethnic diversity” was having a positive impact on community cohesion, the study found the opposite to be the case.
Studying existing literature and also carrying out a meta-analysis of 1,001 estimates from 87 studies, the researchers concluded, “We find a statistically significant negative relationship between ethnic diversity and social trust across all studies.”
Eric Kaufmann, Professor of Politics at the Birkbeck University of London, also tweeted about the study, commenting, “Higher diversity *is* significantly associated with lower trust in communities, even when controlling for deprivation.”

My guess would be that the lack of "trust" is related to the lack of assimilation by the immigrant group.
Spot-on re: the lack of assimilation leading to/causing lack of trust.
Mostly homogenous societies don’t have race hustlers like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, or race baiting politicians like (enter any Democrat here).
Harvard scientist Robert Putnam found that diversity hurts civic life, reduces social trust, pushes tribalism / grouping when the minorities are large enough to form their own enclaves. You get less volunteering, fewer civic organization members like Rotary Club, less willingness to donate to charity.
This is so contrary to liberal dogma he didn’t publish for ten years.

Putnam chose to be optimistic about the future of diversity, assuming that all ethnic groups will learn to identify with each by creating a broader sense of ‘we’ just as white Americans of different European back-grounds expanded their parochial identities to encompass all Whites.

I have never known a liberal (and I worked with tons of them) who wasn’t quick to rationalize their views by ignoring facts, logic, evidence and the lessons of history. They are by and large emotion driven creatures.

Diversity isn’t the problem. The power elites trying to use it as a cudgel to achieve their own goals is the problem.

The “melting pot” approach worked, and I believe did make us stronger. The obvious analogy is an alloy that is stronger than the base metal.
That’s why the left ditched the melting pot in favor of the mosaic. A bunch of unassimilated cultures vying for dominance. Balkanization and the deterioration of the country. Everything in a true leftist’s dream.
Thanks for posting. The demands of diverse invaders are part of asymmetric warfare, war by other means. The end goal of destroying your civilization will justify any and all means. Demanding diversitarians and the domestic enemies enabling their destructive behavior is our demise.
On July 1, 2015, 32-year-old Kate Steinle, while walking with her father and a friend along Pier 14 in the Embarcadero district of San Francisco, was shot by José Inez García Zárate, who claimed a gun had fired accidentally while he was picking it up. He claimed he had found the gun moments before, wrapped in cloth beneath the bench on which he was sitting. The shot ricocheted off the concrete deck of the pier striking the victim in the back. Steinle died two hours later in a hospital as a result of her injuries. On November 30, 2017, after five days of deliberations, a jury acquitted García Zárate of all murder and manslaughter charges. He was convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm but that conviction was overturned on appeal on August 30, 2019.
