Kentucky Senator Rand Paul knocked fellow Republican senators who criticized President Trump's move to pull troops from northern Syria, calling them the "neocon war caucus."
"A lot of people in your own party -- Lindsey Graham, Marco Rubio, Mitt Romney, Nikki Haley, and on and on and on say this is a tragedy, its a bad move, it emboldens our enemies," Fox News host Neil Cavuto told Paul on "Your World with Neil Cavuto" Monday.
"It sounded like you listed the neocon war caucus of the Senate," Paul responded, adding, "They always want to stay at war."
Trump vigorously defended his decision to withdraw U.S. troops from northern Syria ahead of a planned invasion of the region by Turkey, even as his Republican allies in both the Senate and House vehemently criticized the move including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., who urged Trump to reconsider his "precipitous withdrawal."

Maybe our troops are needed here at home now?
Reinstate the draft. That’ll shut these morons up.
Nice poke at that little twit Cavuto.
Ya’ know, Trump told everyone to get out of Syria a while back and they all whined about needing a few weeks or a month to organize the exit. Now they’ve had a couple months and they have a whole new line of BS to try and rally support for continued presence in Syria, despite how stupid it makes the US look to stay there, pays very well.
Not only that, but who thinks Kurds who receive a bundle of cash complain if it’s a few tens of thousands less than they were told to expect? In all likelihood, it’ll be missing a few tens of thousands more before it gets to wherever the grunts are being paid or weapons purchased.
There’s no opportunity for corruption better than a nice little war and a lot of the pols crying are actually crying over the fact they know the skim will be smaller once we get out of Syria and therefore, their cut will be smaller.
Within weeks of our actually being out of Syria, you count on the same lovers of war who are complaining about this to be in a panic over some other part of the world where we need to send at least as many people as we pull out of Syria. Not someplace where we have a larger presence already, but somewhere that they’ll say only needs a safe area where we can help the most by delivering cash and weapons “and letting them do the fighting”.
I just texted some Trump-hating friends and relatives - you know, the supposed pacifist, leftist, hippy types
Breaking news: Trump withdraws US troops from Syria, ending a disastrous war Obama and his CIA started
I’m sick of those Libertarians who think the world is a playground that we can watch from afar with no consequences to ourselves. I’m aware of all the arguments against foreign intervention, the growth of government during war, etc., etc., but the Kurds have fought a hard, long fight against all manner of nutcases, have been decent allies, are willing to fight for themselves, have done a good job building their own society and deserve our help. I’m not talking anything more than advisors, equipment, money and political support either. The POTUS is making a mistake by trusting ANYTHING that islamofascist Erdogan wants.
For Rand Paul to call those who support the Kurds “neocons” is stupid and childish. Some people can walk and chew gum at the same time.
Who are the “good guys” in Syria?
The days of the U.S. taking sides in foreign civil wars should have ended a long time ago.
Its no coincidence that all of the Senators he named are globalist shills who are hell-bent on promoting U.S. military intervention everywhere in the world EXCEPT to protect our own borders.
Sounds like you’re siding with Mitt Romney over President Trump.
If all these remnants of the stone age want to do is breed more sons to be slaughtered in their insane turf wars, let them do it. Time will bring them to a rendezvous with extinction if they cannot work out their own destiny. President Trump knows we have no cure for madness that rejects the progress of civilization. The best we can do is to quarantine them.
If all the affected migrants in the US & Europe don't want to come back and occupy the land we freed, someone else can hold it for them.
“Who are the good guys in Syria?”
The Christians. But they are dead or gone....
Basically this is a false flag uproar generated by the permanent government. As near as I can see the decision means the CIA and maybe Israel will now be deputed to run the Kurdish programs. No US military technically involved but the support pipeline continues to operate. Turkey would be making a big mistake to conduct a large ground force operation. Removing US military personnel from N Syria does not mean the USAF, drones, and cruise missiles can’t be employed.
Where’s the safe zone?
America fought and won their own freedom. For any other country to truly appreciate freedom, they will have to win it for themselves. If it is simply given to them, they’ll never truly appreciate it.
Very true which makes it so disheartening to see so many young Americans have zero sense of patriotism. They don't understand how many people their age and younger fought and died for their right to be so Anti-American today; as ironic as that is. One wonders if they would would be willing to fight today to maintain it. I doubt it.
Pardon the off-topic tangent.
On topic; if that asswipe, Erdogan, attacks the Kurds in Syria I hope Trump drops a MOAB on his head.
Well done, and the key words here are “the skim”. And this has been my own complaint about war mongering all along, it a business to be seen and understood as a business. They care not how much this will cost our Grandchildren or how many die. All they care about is lining their own pockets under the disguise of patriotism and safety.
It greatly insults the few intelligent enough to know they are being manipulated just to line pockets. How many more need to die? How is it just to place this long term debt on our Great Grandchildren? Anyone who believes this is just and necessary is an ignorant brainwashed fool.
Yes, you are right. There will be a false flag to fire another one up as soon as they think they can get away with it. They can’t afford to allow a hiatus to last very long, it cuts into quarterly profits, And cutting into yearly profits is totally out of the question.
