President Trump was granted at least a brief reprieve Monday after a federal judge issued a scathing order allowing the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office to subpoena his tax returns from accounting firm Mazars USA.
The Second Circuit Court of Appeals put the subpoena on hold after Trump's attorneys filed an emergency appeal.
“We are very pleased that the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit has issued a stay of the subpoena issued by New York County District Attorney Cy Vance,” Trump attorney Jay Sekulow said.
The administrative stay will only be in place while the court reviews the case, and it's unclear how that will resolve. U.S. District Court Judge Victor Marrero earlier Monday was unsparing toward the president's legal team as he dismissed Trump’s lawsuit seeking to block the subpoena.
Marrero, who was appointed by then-President Bill Clinton, wrote that “the expansive notion of constitutional immunity invoked here to shield the President from judicial process would constitute an overreach of executive power,” and that Trump’s argument essentially claims “that a constitutional domain exists in this country in which not only the President, but, derivatively, relatives and persons and business entities associated with him in potentially unlawful private activities, are in fact above the law.”

Isn’t it a fact, that tax returns and financial information. are only subject to subpoenas if there is a criminal investigation going on?
So is there a crime alleged involving Trump? How do they justify going after the tax returns?
Why should they be able to peruse his or anyone else’s, tax returns without knowledge of a specific crime?
I don’t want Democrat persecutors looking through my tax returns in order to destroy me, so why should President Trump have to be subject to such?
District Court judge is a Clinton appointee with a long history of being a Democrat hack.
He's presidenting while Republican. That's an impeachable offense and they will fish until they find a crime. Judges are in favor.
This whole is a farce in my view.
The Dems are using this NY County DA to get President Trump’s tax returns and this DA judge shopped this Clinton appointed U.S. District Court Judge Victor Marrero.

Well, if this goes through, Barr can ask for )and have good reason to ask for) the tax returns of Hunter Biden, Schiff, Pelosi and Schumer.

Some also say that U.S. District Judge Victor Marrero is a supporter of the "Pedos Against Trump 2020" organization.
How do they justify going after the tax returns?

This case against Trump, if successful, will set a very dangerous precedent. One step closer to political intimidation and tyranny.
I have no doubt that Marrero sampled some of Jepstein's "wares", and he's being manipulated with damning video.
Let us see the tax returns, then after a lengthy and thorough review we'll let you know what crime we're investigating.
In the meantime, we have no idea how the President's returns got leaked to the media...
By this ruling, every thing that Obama had locked up, and locked down to protect his true identity would be unconstitutional as well.
To get rid of this president the Globalists are willing to destroy every institution in this country to do it. Right now we can’t trust the media, our federal government, our intelligence agencies and our court system. We have been turned into a Third World banana republic without a shot being fired.
The Democrats only want his tax returns to have a basis to isolate, cherry pick information they can use to fabricate a legal case against our President.
The IRS audits tax returns, NOT the Congress. If Congress was in charge of auditing tax returns, then they wouldn’t get anything else done much like what is happening now.
Interesting, especially because of his blistering ruling and in the realm of a possibility if he’s a buddy of Clinton.
Some say that Marrero is featured on Lolita Island video...
Media got what it wanted. Headlines saying a judge ordered Trump to turn them over and he did not comply.
So freakin’ dishonest.

You have to remember that Marrero is siding with Cy Vance, who tried to lighten the legal crunch on Jeffrey Epstein after he was busted the first time.
It only stands to reason that Marrero is part of the kiddie sex trafficking network.
