Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., NY) told supporters during a town hall in Queens on Thursday that impeachment proceedings against President Trump were boring and distracted from the goal of social and economic and racial justice in the United States of America.
He should have been impeached a long time ago. Im over it. And so thats how I feel about it because weve got work to do, she said, before going on to argue that impeachment of this president is the short-term action we need to preserve our democracy, but if we are really going to thrive as a country, we need to make long-term investments.
Ocasio-Cortez, who has long been an advocate of impeaching the president, also pushed back against allegations of misconduct by House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff (D., Calif.), who apparently learned of the whistleblower complaint before it was filed, according to a New York Times report.
All of this is in complete compliance with whistleblower laws, and theres nothing out of the norm from that, she said. This whistleblower followed all of the laws and protocols that we have established for whistleblowing and followed all the proper channels. The threat was vetted. It was passed on by the inspector general.
The night was marked by an incident involving an apparent stunt pulled by a member of the pro-Trump LaRouche group, who demanded in a comment that people need to start eating babies to combat climate change.
20 We only have a few months left. I love that you support the Green New Deal, but getting rid of fossil fuel is not gonna solve the problem fast enough, the woman ranted, as Ocasio-Cortez remained calm before giving a measured response.

Except for that teeny tiny deal about changing the rule so no first hand knowledge was necessary. Does anyone know who changed that?
LOL
If they can't get enough votes to formally start impeachment, the democrat Big Dogs look stupid, and if they do get enough votes, a lot of democrats are going to be in danger of losing their seat which means they can be challenged not only by the Republicans, but by fellow democrats.
Ha haaaaa!!! They got nuthin’!
[And so thats how I feel about it because weve got work to do]
True. Only 11 years and 2+ months until Global Warming destroys the Earth!
She knows they have nothing, so she has “Moved on”
Does Global Warming destroy the Earth at the end of 2030?
Or at the BEGINNING??????
Maybe it’s only 10 years and 2+ months!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since AOC hasn’t got the mental power to get “over” a simple tic-tac-toe game, this tells us an awful lot about Democrat ideas and accomplishments.
Meanwhile we have ball-less “Republicans” like RINOmney leaving us well in doubt as to whether or not he was a progressive female who underwent a sex change.
I don’t want to say that she has the IQ of a houseplant. That would be unkind. But if she ever had more than a single brain cell fire off at the same time, somebody would have to water her.
I agree. The whole impeachment circus is boring. Its time to get to those really exciting Democrat debates. Now there’s some thrills.
The only way to keep AOC happy is hydrophonic gardening. Water lots of water, I think its about to fire. Heeheeheee.
She may have “moved on” because maybe someone has “moved in” on some questionable practices she has participated in. Just sayin’.
