Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said at Northwestern University on Thursday that the House Democrats “might be forced to move forward on impeaching President Donald Trump before being able to ‘flesh out the facts,’” which he blamed on the White House’s “obstructionist acts and delay tactics.” The Chicago Tribune led its reporting on Schiff’s speech at the college – known for its journalism programs – with Schiff’s claim, despite the fact that the when Democrats raised concerns about the president’s phone conversation with the Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, Trump released the transcript from the call.
The Tribune reported on Schiff’s claim that Trump asked Zelenskiy and other foreign leaders to interfere in the U.S. elections, one of the most “pernicious threats to our democracy” coming from a presidency.
And he’s in a hurry to impeach a duly elected president.
“I’m certainly concerned that there’s a need to act expeditiously here,” said Schif, who is leading the investigation as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. “We don’t want this to drag on forever.”
Schiff said:
At the same time, (the White House has) apparently every incentive to try to make it drag on forever. And there may very well come a point where we have to make the decision that the effort to obstruct has become such an impediment that we have reached a decision point — even in the absence of being able to fully follow and flesh out the facts surrounding the president’s Ukraine conduct.

Sentence first. Verdict later. And the subject upon which the verdict is to be rendered? Still to be determined.
Minds in ferment will come up with something. If they don’t explode first.
A blatant admission that this impeachment effort is not based on any actual crime - they want to impeach simply because they want to stop or slow President Trump and his success. They'll come up with some "facts" or manufacture some excuses later, but the impeachment / Trump-impediment must roll on!
Treason is not too strong of a word. The deep-state leftists deserve to be stood up against a wall.

And exactly like that unconstitutional 2010 power grab, the person who made it work at the Supreme Court by conjuring a tax out of the individual mandate, Chief Justice John Roberts, is the same person who will preside over the impeachment trial in the Senate. That's unsettling even if he is subject to the will of the Senate.
I think Schiff is not going to be a fan of the outcome.
Since there is no facts to support impeachment it wouldn’t make any difference.

Actually I believe one of their hopes is to provoke an uprising on the right. Wouldn’t be surprised to see some red flag operations of armed gangs taking out large groups of (liberal) citizens in the name of “saving America” from the Democrats.
The media would eat it up.

The real facts will not bode well for him or Nancy.
Why don’t we focus on the REAL problem: our own mostly illegal unconstitutional government - the greatest threat to us all.
I thought that’s what we are doing and what Trump means when he says “Drain The Swamp”
That’s why the media might be the first to go. First objective in any battle is to interrupt enemy communications. Then the support and supply lines.
Let’s flesh out the facts of Hillary, Obama, Lerner, Comey, Holder, Lynch, and a whole bunch of others. What Schiff? Not interested in Democrat corruption and illegalities?
The metaphors “Drain the Swamp” and “Deep State” means many things to many people.
Few pinpoint the precise thing we need to do: DISMANTLE the unconstitutional portion of the totalitarian feds before they dismantle us.
The Totalitarian Federal Government is like the 800+ lb gorilla in the room that seems invisible to many. It actually does try to hide.

Bless his heart, he's undermining his media cohorts' narrative that POTUS is already being impeached.
Schiff just talks impeachment but does nothing except to request more and more and more documents to look through for something impeachable to get Trump on. That is all the democrats are doing is talking impeachment. That is the democrats game. Their talk of impeachment is the same as a grand jury indictment. The idea is to talk so much about impeachment that the pulblic will start thinking that there are things he did wrong, not to impeach him. Impeachment will never happen. Mark these words.
