The Senate needs to open its own inquiry. It conducts the trial, not the house and has an independent need for facts, which means it needs to start deposing or hearing from witnesses now. Start with Shifty, on the record under oath. McConnell, get to it. Public hearings. Now!
And all the time he spent huffing and puffing on that committee he was on, not once did he get a single law breaking dummycrat in trouble for a damned thing. Lots of hot air and some very strange hairdos.
