Yesterday, President Trump did something he doesn't do that often, at least not intentionally. He made me laugh. He tweeted a funny video about the Hunter Biden/Ukraine mess, set to the 2005 Nickelback song "Photograph." No matter what else you like or dislike about the guy, you gotta admit that nobody can troll quite like Trump. Not even Obama could troll his enemies like Trump does, and Obama trolled 'em like a mofo.

As you'll notice, when you click that video you get a message that it's been disabled in response to a report by the copyright holder. Uh-oh. What happened?
A video posted by Donald Trump has been removed from Twitter after a copyright claim by the rock band Nickelback.
---------------------------
And now the band is falling prey to the Streisand effect, where any attempt to censor something just makes people even more curious about it. What's the big deal? What doesn't Nickelback want us to see? Shouldn't the band be happy that anybody still cares about them in 2019?

Here’s one:

If it’s gone just go to Youtube and search for “biden nickleback.”
There will be one somewhere.
Trump is a PR genius. No other way about it.
He knows how to bait and troll the media (and politicians who stupidly follow them) so they will react as he wants. And then, of course the “woke” dullards in Hollywood and “entertainment” rise up as well.
every. single. time.
who is the unnamed guy in the picture, Anyone know?
I saw the President’s small snippet of the Nickelback video, maybe it lasted all of 3 seconds and was chosen only because the lyrics applied to Biden saying he never did squat about blah blah. And the one lyric refrain was “Look at this photograph!”. That was it,
I had never bought or listened to anything by Nickelback so I did a Youtube search and understood why i never got caught up in their music. They seemed to suck and not a little.
But I thought most losers in the entertainment world will blast Trump because they think it brings them approval from the industry.
So I thought to expect a copyright violation charge and sure enough today it has arrived.
Then I thought Nickelback should be grateful for the Trump micro clip of their song “Look at this photograph” because they will get more publicity and curiosity than probably they ever saw before. But it doesn’t work that way. They suck so bad they probably are grateful when people don’t want to see them.
Parody is protected speech. See also, Weird Al....
It was hilarious.
In the beginning the copyright owners of ‘Downfall’ tried to stop the Hitler satires. They eventually realized it was actually helping otherwise moribund sales so they stopped their opposition. A word to the wise for Nickleback.
I made this one, so am I going to get sued by these no-talent jerks?
Suckiest band, ever.
Hey, that’s good. But who is the chubby short Ukrainian who didn’t get a heart?
Open and shut case of satirical fair use. The clip is far, far, far too short to serve as a replacement for Nickelback’s product or for a consumer to gain (I’m not kidding here) value apart from its satirical purpose.
Yep. After listening to the whole song some of it rang familiar but otherwise never even heard of this band.
As the saying goes, once you post something on social media it is forever. YT and Twitter can take it down but if it’s popular it will reappear somewhere. Someone has a copy and will re-post it.
Always.
Now he’s not only got people watching it, he’s got them searching the internet to find it!
Worst 90’s band...Creed, Nickelback, Limp Bizkit?
TMZ said that Warner Brothers is the one that filed the copyright claim
Considering who’s running Warner Bros now, that does not surprise me...
Did you listen to the entire words in the video? They are:
Look at this photograph
Every time I do it makes me laugh
Howd your Eyes get so red?
And what the hell is on Joeys head?
Limp Bizkit
