News that Washington didn’t tell Ukraine it was delaying aid until a month after Trump’s phone call punches a gaping hole in Democrats’ impeachment case. BuzzFeed reported Wednesday that Ukraine's Zelensky believed $391M in military funding was already headed to Kiev when he chatted with Trump in August.
Dems charge the prez held up the money to pressure Zelensky to probe Joe Biden and his son. Hard to see how that works when Zelensky didn’t know about the holdup.
This follows that several of the whistleblower’s other claims about that call aren’t borne out by the transcript. Speaker Pelosi and Intel Committee Schiff continue to claim Trump “undermined national security” and was grounds for impeachment. “Look at the sequencing,” urged Pelosi. “A few days before” the call, Trump “withdrew” the aid. Why? He “decided he was going to use [it] as leverage.”
Uh, so why didn’t he?
There was no mention of the aid during (or before) the call, and Zelensky says he felt no pressure. Nor is there any evidence he acted on any fear. And the funds got released last month without Zelensky giving Trump what Democrats say he supposedly wanted.
The case grew fishier after NYT reported the (eventual) whistleblower first consulted with a Schiff aide, who suggested he file a complaint — and also briefed Schiff on the broad allegations.
....this is starting to look as meatless as the “Russian collusion” tale. Which may be why Schiff is warning that any resistance to Congress’ demands for testimony or documents counts as “evidence” of obstruction of justice, and another impeachment charge.
Team Trump has every right to resist ..... pushback is not obstruction. And trying to use it for impeachment only suggests, as in Russia-gate, it’s the best you’ve got.

Once subpoenas get issued, and folks are under oath...Shiffy’s team will have a member or two who collapse from the pressure and admit that they kinda wrote part of the dossier themselves. At that point, impeachment-wise, it’s a room full of elephant-dung. It might still forward but they just guaranteed a Trump-win in November of 2020, and a huge plus up in the House and Senate.
Trump’s collusion with Nepal will come to light next week and then he will surely be impeached. Film at 11.

The judicial branch is the branch of government that interprets the laws, and its body of laws is called case law.
And which law would cover the crime this liar committed? And Schiff, as well?
I am blowing the whistle—hear this—the Democrats are f_____g lying—the impeachment claims are total and complete fabrications and frauds!
