TITLE: Barr Went to Rome to Hear a Secret Tape from Joseph Mifsud, the Professor Who Helped Ignite the Russia Probe.
Barr was in Rome on an under-the-radar mission that was only planned a few days in advance. An official with the embassy confirmed to The Daily Beast that they had to scramble to accommodate Barr’s sudden arrival. He had been in Italy before, but not with such a clear motive. Barr and Durham are looking into the events that led to Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, and suddenly all roads were leading to Rome.
The Italian Justice Ministry public records show that Mifsud had applied for police protection in Italy after disappearing from Link University where he worked and, in doing so, had given a taped deposition to explain just why people might want to harm him.
A source in the Italian Ministry of Justice, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told The Daily Beast that Barr and Durham were played the tape. A second source within the Italian government also confirmed to The Daily Beast that Barr and Durham were shown other evidence the Italians had on Mifsud.

Barr and Durham do not work to your timeline, they’re building air tight cases, legally, and that takes time. The announcement of the indictments and the arrests of the coup plotters will be done very quickly and likely coordinated such that they all happen at the same time so nobody has a chance to flee.
It’s been YEARS since Democrat crimes. 3.5 to be precise. And not a single indictment.
Contrast that with the “Trump” IC IG validating the CIA’s White House spy “whistleblower” claim in 14 DAYS.
Where there is a will, there is way. The facts prove there is no will to prosecute criminal Democrats to the benefit of Donald J. Trump.
To continue with this line of reasoning, I think that the current furor not only deflects attention, but also puts the politicos from the countries being contacted by Barr and Guiliani on notice to not cooperate. Notice that apparently the President of the Ukraine made a statement this weekend that he did not want to get involved in American politics.
Those guys better be well guarded and using very secure transportation.

Probably the other way around. Ukrainian ologarchs were buying their way into the Dem party through Biden. They have plenty of other ways to get money and funnel it to Dems without any need for the Dems to take over.

Yes, they have called Barr dishonest and alot of other stuff for doing his job. Don’t believe Barr will have too much sympathy for them.
The Republicans are hiding with their guilt by somehow enhancing their bank accounts through Ukaraine-in my opinion.

Well said. Moods can fluctuate.
But with some posters it goes way beyond pessimism - it’s more like cowardice - they are too afraid of looking foolish to have faith in anyone.
There are a lot of other good guys besides President Trump - perhaps not the calibre of superhero Donald Trump has turned out to be - but there are other heroes out there and they need our support.
They deserve not to be thrown under the bus so quickly just because we don’t know what’s going on or just because we don’t want to be fooled again.
Don’t get me wrong - I experience despair at times - but I get tired of how fast people give up on someone like Bill Barr.
What is taking so long is that this may one of the most complex political frame-up operations in all of history.

It is vast and the roots may go back farther than we know. Multiple agencies, senior government officials, the DNC, Hillary, and several foreign countries are involved. You’re right — its a highly complex investigation.
And you’re also correct that it can’t be done in a rushed, half assed way which would turn this into target practice for the Dems and their allies in the media. They would gleefully shoot holes in it and discredit every charge.
That said, I still find it very frustrating that it has taken so long and we still haven’t seen the FISA docs yet. But Barr is all we have at this point. In a very real sense our fate as a nation rests on his shoulders.

They are deserting us, as usual.
When the going gets tough, they’re the first ones to leave the battlefield.
The Dems are right about one thing: It is highly unusual for an AG to get this directly involved in an investigation. Barr is careful and measured, he would only be doing this direct investigation if it was something very very big. He is not pursuing Mifsud, or other relative minnows, he is going after big fish, somebody high up that was deeply involved in sabotaging Trump with foreign help. Could even be Obama. Or Brennan and Comey.
I’ll put money on Brennan, from his youth he did not have a loyalty to democracy or America (voted for Gus Hall, communist, for President). That points to a lack of understanding of, or respect for the sacredness of boundaries our Constitution enjoins. It’s one thing to be a bleeding-heart liberal, something else to despise your own country.
