On his radio show Thursday, Rush Limbaugh addressed the revelations from The New York Times about the identity of the “whistleblower” who sparked the controversy of President Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukraine’s president that has given the Democrats a rationale to move forward on their impeachment campaign.
According to the Times, the whistleblower is “a CIA officer detailed to the White House,” and, according to Paul Sperry, former D.C. bureau chief for Investor’s Business Daily, rumors are “swirling” that the whistleblower was one of former CIA Director and current NBC analyst John Brennan’s “old CIA humps detailed over to — planted inside — the White House to spy on Trump and help thwart the investigation of #Spygate which also involves Obama DOS/FBI/CIA skullduggery in Ukraine.”

Which explains why they put call transcripts on a secure server with limited and controlled access - they knew they were being spied on by a leaker so it was put there to keep the info away from this person and others like.
One way to ferret out a leaker is to circulate various versions of a story to see which version of the story leaks to the press. Not everyone in the intelligence fields are idiots and not all of them hate Trump or want to remove him in a coup

While the President has an excellent memory, there's just too many obscure facts in the phone call that indicate it was not totally off the cuff.
The failure to get Trump continues the long list of CIA failures that began well before the Bay of Pigs, continued through Viet Nam and their CORDS boondoggle, their failure to judge appropriately the growth of the Islamist movement from Afghanistan through Sudan to the Levant, and the 9/11 fiasco. They misjudged the emergence of the Arab Spring, and then its failure in Egypt and Syria and the crisis created in Libya that has yet to run out. I’m not sure it knows what the hell is happening in Europe — everything from the flow of natural gas from Russia to the demise of the Catholic Church.
If Trump want to get even with a failed organization (and if you don’t believe that, name a recent success), cut their budget! Their recent failures in Syria and Libya, and their giant boondoggle in Afghanistan demands it.

The whistler picked the wrong conversation, with the release of the conversation and the subsequent airing of Biden's bragging about having the Ukraine prosecutor fired, now the whole world is focused on Biden and his son's potential corruption.
