If I were McConnell, I'd promise to take it up right away and schedule two witnesses every day for ten months.

Watch how quickly the Democrats back down on this.

I think it is time for Trump to give this CIA clown a nickname so he isn’t just called “Whistleblower”. I suggest “Spook”.

McConnell is helping Trump by scheduling the trial right away. That means Trump will have broad subpoena powers and get to introduce witnesses.

President Trump Trump needs to kick the CIA and the FBI out of the White House and replace them with military intelligence. Obviously the CIA and the FBI are incapable of cleaning up their own ranks.

If I were McConnell, I would take it up right away. I would allow for the President to file a summary judgement motion, allow both sides to file their briefs and have oral argument. Then, I’d promptly vote to grant the motion.

It would then have been taken up and disposed of.

“McConnell saying that the Senate will take it up right away, if the House passes it, onmly encourages the Dems.”

Is Mitch really in a position to criticize or even question the Bidens taking money from foreign sources? Are any of the GOP Senators in a position to do so? I have to assume they’re not, because they aren’t doing so.

It would be nice if they had his back. Few, if any, do.

Does anybody know who this hornblower is? Trump always turns out to be right about things. There’s a reason why he’s tearing this guy or gal apart. It will become apparent when they’re exposed.

IF Comey, Brennan and Clapper were arrested and sentenced as they should have been, NONE of this BS would be happening right now. They are all working for Odongo’s shadow govt. Brennan is likely “the biggest toad in the puddle” on this. He should not be breathing God’s clean air right now.

As Rush Limbaugh discussed today, the "Whistleblower" complaint was probably written by Democrat House Intel staff lawyers.

The Whistleblower him or herself maybe somebody who "auditioned" for the job based on their ability to convincingly lie.

McConnell saying that the Senate will take it up right away, if the House passes it, onmly encourages the Dems.

Could encourage them or give them cold feet - a trial would create both great opportunity but great risk for both sides. McConnell stated the fact that the Senate rules require it and it would take 67 votes to change those rules...obviously would not occur. However, the length of the trial is not mandated - a motion to dismiss could be made immediately and passed. If it gets that far, the President would need to have an acquittal on the record rather than a talking point about an "obstructionist GOP" and that "he has never been acquitted of the impeachment charges that are still pending before the Senate."

This shouldn't be happening to begin with because it is bogus. There are consequences from Committee Chairmanships passing from someone like Nunes to Schiff. We are seeing that now.

Scorched Earth!!! Ha haaaaa! The only thing being scorched are FredocRAT asses as it is being learned that Soetoro’s CYA Director traveled to Ukraine using a fake passport to dig up dirt on candidate Trump.

“The comments came as his allies struggled to coalesce around a clear strategy to respond to a fast-moving and quickly mounting threat to his presidency.”

Threat? What threat? Shirley they aren’t implying impeachment is a threat. In this case, impeachment based on a bunch of hearsay is a joke, not a threat.

And now we have Grassley saying second hand info is acceptable. If they impeach Trump the last votes we should cast should be a nation wide effort by every Trump supporter to oust every Republican senator. I doubt Trump supporters will ever cast a vote for them after this travesty they are allowing. After Trump, there will be no other outsider to shake things up. It will only get worse. The corruption and theft of the taxpayers will continue. We need to take a cue from Hong Kong and fight to KEEP our freedom or just turn out the lights.
