World-famous 16-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has thrown out a passionate challenge on climate change from the podium at the UN: "How dare you?"
She has also informed world leaders, especially President Trump, that she and her millions of followers will not be silenced.
In a sad and embarrassing scene, she has shown what it takes to silence her: Take away her script and ask her a question.
It was a softball question: What kind of message would you like to give to world leaders? After some fumbling, she came up with "We have had enough," and "Would anyone else like to answer that question?"
To me, she looks like a frightened little girl, and it would be cruel to interrogate her in front of a big audience, especially in a foreign language.
But there are a lot of questions to ask the school-ditching protesters who are blocking traffic – and the politicians calling for a Green New Deal. For example:
What did people do before we learned to pump oil out of the ground? (They killed whales.)
What do people do for heat when they have no electricity or natural gas? (They cut down trees to burn.)
Where did Greenland get its name? (It used to be green.)
Do you eat fruits like bananas and oranges? If so, how do they get to you? (On ships, planes and trucks fueled by the products of Big Oil.)
What raw materials do plants use to make food? (Carbon dioxide.)

1. Define the “correct” temperature range for the planet.
2. Define the “correct” humidity range for the planet.
3. Define the “correct” mean sea level for the planet.
4. Define the “correct” amount of precipitation for the planet.
5. Define the “correct” makeup of the atmosphere.
6. Define the “correct” amount of sea ice at the N/S poles.
7. Define/explain past glaciation and subsequent warming without any input from humans.
To me too.
Why try to silence her? Who would even want to?
It is not this child but those who have frightened her who are to be criticized.
Is she still ranting against America, or is Big Media just trying to make sense of her hate for us?
I love how her childhood was ruined. There are kids picking food at landfills and she won’t eat because of her “anxiety”.
She said this almost laughing at what she was saying.
"Do any of the students fall for that nonsense?" I asked her.
"Some DO," she replied, again almost laughing at its outrageousness.
The young lady apparently finds me and those like me disgusting, and I’m happy this little actorvist would have nothing to do with me.
So tolerate it, pimple poppin’ wench.

Did you know that the Fahrenheit Scale (US measurement of temperature) was based on what Fahrenheit 'thought' it felt like ?
Zero meant it was really cold. 100 meant it was really hot. The mercury column was then marked off and divided into 'degrees'.
She’s off to rant against Canada now and then on to the rest of the world.
Probably a few kids that would have relished a trip to the big apple all expenses paid, heated/ac’d housing, three squares a day, being driven from one venue to another.................
Any parent or adult with common sense should be concerned for the mental health of this young women. What happens to this poor child when her time as a prop for the hysterical climate change movement comes to an end?
This movement is going nowhere and with each passing year their failure to produce any concrete evidence, tells us their time in the spot light is coming to an end. There is still snow on top of Mount Kilimanjaro and there will be snow on the mount for many decades to come.
In the end, humankind has no control over mother nature and the weather of our planet. The insinuation that we do is ludicrous and absurd.

She doesn’t appear frightened to me. Instead, her anger and indignation look completely fabricated.
It takes a lot of real angst to get that wound up, and to quote Will Smith in the theme song from Fresh Prince of Bel Air, “You’re only 16; you don’t have a rep yet.”
And, sadly there are a bunch. I saw some crap from her on Mrs rktman’s FB page yesterday that someone had reposted. The comments back to her royal hindend were hurl worthy. Psychos.....................
I resent how the Liberals have trotted her out there, and then dare us to criticize a little girl.
There are legitimate questions to ask about her.
How did she get permission to miss an entire year of school so she can go in this world tour to warn us about global warming?
Who is paying all of her expenses for this year that she’s touring the world?
There’s a 20-something young woman who is always seen with Greta. Apparently this is her Handler or chaperone. Who is this woman and who is paying her to watch over Greta? Where does this woman get her paycheck from?
Who built and paid for the allegedly carbon-free sailboat that she traveled to America on?
What exactly does she want us to do? Does she have any understanding of how governments and businesses make decisions in a democracy or a constitutional republic such as America?
We have no more control over the ‘climate’ than we have over when the Sun comes up and goes down. Which ‘changes’ every day.
Well, perhaps I should have chosen which scale to use. Apparently it ‘feels’ like 33 deg f at my house right now.
