First, the context On Thursday night Carl Bernstein said: William Barr is preparing to deliver evidence of a deep state conspiracy. Bernsteins statement followed on the heels of Chairman Jerry Nadler proclaiming: The President dragged the Attorney General into this mess, [Nadler wrote on Twitter after the transcript was released]. At a minimum, AG Barr must recuse himself until we get to the bottom of this matter.
Then on Friday during an interview on MSNBC Morning Joe, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said AG William Barr had gone rogue in his efforts to protect President Trump.

There are reports saying both, you aren’t mistaken. It may be press mistakes or may be deliberate press efforts to deflect.
That could still be Trump’s way of saying the downloaded server contents ... he’s not always technically accurate.
But then the FBI attempting several times to get access from the DNC and being denied might imply it is a physica. server.
If they were worried about security... the stakes are high in an election year- maybe they did have a physical server in the DNC bathroom.
