When it comes to combating climate change, a lot of people who talk the talk dont actually walk the walk, particularly if it means traveling on foot instead of by car.
While Americans are willing to make convenient changes to reduce the carbon emissions that scientists say are driving climate change and creating unpredictable weather patterns, they resist when faced with inconvenience, according to the results of a new poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.
About nine in 10 Americans said they often or always turn off lights when theyre not needed, according to the poll. And more than half said they set their thermostat to 68 degrees or lower in the winter to reduce power consumption by their heaters.
But only 45 percent of respondents said they often or always set the air conditioner at 76 degrees or higher in the summer to do the same. Close to a third of Americans said they hardly ever or never set their thermostat that high.

Microcosms of the utopian future created by Liberalism can be seen in many major cities. Just go down to the areas where the homeless are encamped — but watch where you are stepping.
I would be willing to give up the two inches of snow that fell here today, about six weeks ahead of the normal pace.
See the Green New Deal lose popularity overnight. Take away their I-phones and tell them no more computers or electronic games, interactive or otherwise. Here’s a book to read...one with real pages. Then turn off the air conditioner on a hot day.
What climate change?
Prove to us via the scientific process, that climate change even exists.
Thats the game here. Climate Fraud is a multi-national, multi-billion dollar criminal enterprise. If we were living in a sane world, Algore, Michael Mann and Tom Steyr would be residing in Club Fed.
even the gloBULL warming zealots at BBC are now reporting that a mere $300 billion spent planting trees is all that is necessary to combat this fake problem.
certainly better than the $100-trillion-plus the greenies who promote intermittent wind and solar are asking for.
AUDIO: 26 Sept: BBC Business Daily: Climate Action: Should we plant more trees?
Ed Butler speaks to Professor Tom Crowther from the Swiss university ETH Zurich, who says planting billions of trees around the world is by far the biggest and cheapest way to tackle climate change. Marcelo Guimaraes, chairman of Mahogany Roraima, a commercial timber and reforestation plantation in the northern Amazon rainforest, discusses how that would work in practice.

Are they willing to tell truckers and other delivery companies to stop delivering food?
I guess they forget about THAT little detail.
Nothing; this is all a scam, although I would be willing to throw the loudest would be tyrants on the Left into an erupting volcano to see if there is a measurable effect.
Due to the rising CO2 levels the planet is greening on it’s own at a rate that makes 300 Billion worth of trees a drop in the bucket.
We need to burn more oil...
If they won’t cooperate voluntarily, the SJW’s will have to take stronger measures.
I keep my house like a meat locker in the summer and about 68 in the winter. And being in CA, I pay a premium for our wind and solar juice.
I vow to double my carbon footprint by next year!
What do you do? Remove fencerows with a excavator and dozers?
Well...I gave up picking my navel for Lent. Does that count?
Liberals suck! Im in central Florida and my ac is 81 right now. It stays there. In winter I do keep it higher then 68..... much higher and no guilt.
