Presidential contender Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) called for a formal impeachment inquiry into Brett Kavanaugh on Friday in the wake of a new sexual misconduct claim against the Supreme Court justice.
“I write to urge the House Judiciary Committee to take appropriate action to investigate recent reports about Associate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and to hold Mr. Kavanaugh accountable for his prior conduct and testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee,” Harris wrote in a letter, dated Sept. 17, to the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.).
Harris, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which conducted Kavanaugh’s confirmation process, announced her call for a formal impeachment inquiry in an essay for Elle Magazine published Friday morning. The senator wrote that the government must investigate whether Kavanaugh lied under oath during his confirmation hearing last year.

Saul Alinsky describes 24 rules in Rules for Radicals. Of those 24 rules, 13 are rules of “power tactics”:

Her campaign is floundering right now. She is pandering to some extremists to get more support. She isn’t going anywhere with her presidential campaign and she is trying to hold on to her senate seat. I say vote her out. She has done nothing as a senator
It won’t help, Camela. Your candidacy was terminated by the surfer girl and it’s not coming back.
Can’t wait for the “Republicans can’t approve any Supreme Court nominee while a presidential impeachment is under way...” tact.
And worse, I have no confidence that the Republicans won’t roll over and take it.

Even the quinnipiac poll (as if polls matter) concluded most people are NOT interested in this “hole” impeachy thing. But, as usual, the folks that are much more smarterer than us in CONgress will push forward. If we were more smarterer we’d be riding the gravy train too.
Perfect way to muddy the waters. This will make abundantly clear that impeachment is merely a way of reversing the results of the election, not a legitimate redress of a wrong.
There are absolutely no legitimate grounds for impeaching Kavanaugh. This is a travesty.
Next Supreme Court session begins Oct 7.
