LLDF contends the family wasn't given due process and was presented with inadequate information about organ donorship.
Vati was admitted to the hospital on Sept. 11 and declared "brain dead" by doctors four days later.
"Immediately the Donor Network of America swooped into claim Ruben's organs," LLDF said.

My apologies for any confusion. This appears to fit the guidelines.
It appears the Robinsons have also automated the process so the posting program doesn’t allow posters to violate these rules. That’s good to know.
Head in sand response by you....
The Near Death Experience has been experienced and documented by thousands of people around the world. It is the subject of numerous research projects and has been written about in top medical journals for decades.
It has also been experienced by many medical doctors who were previously non-believers.
To respond as you do shows that you are close to being a member of the “Flat Earth” Society.”
I’ve had many medical Dr’s tell me of numerous accounts of their patients experiencing death and returning. Some ER physicians, some cardiologists, and some surgeons... It’s very common with the improvements in medicine.
A good friend died for twenty minutes on the operating table. When he came to after the surgery, he saw an giant angel at the end of his bed.
The surgeon told him it was a miracle that he was still alive.
The same people that convince you that it would be unethical to have a market for human organs are the ones that will turn around and sell body parts to highest bidder.
Thank God the US Government gave me Mad Cow back in the 80’s. Now no one can have any of my organs or blood FOREVER!
Admin moderation is a path to power for some.
At a Duke University Hospital Medical School Grand Rounds about a year ago the presentation was on research conducted at the hospital with MRI brain scans.
They took a group of people and asked them to imagine standing in place hitting tennis balls. While doing that, the MRI of their brain was performed and the researchers found that the same place in the brain lit up for each person.
They then repeated the process and changed the imagination to running around on a tennis court, but not hitting tennis balls. A different part of the brain lit up, but was similar for each subject.
Then they had them imagine standing still and hitting balls for 30 seconds, at the bell sound they switched to imagining running around but not hitting tennis balls. This was done for several consecutive sequences for several minutes. They found that the respective parts of the brains lit up on the MRI consistent with the previous studies.
Then they asked questions of the subjects. If the answer was yes, they were to imagine standing in place hitting tennis balls. If the answer was no, they were to imagine running around the tennis court not hitting balls. From this process they were able to get yes or no answers to the questions from patients based upon them merely imagining their response and the MRI recording of the part of the brain that was active.
Then it got really interesting. They gave the instructions and questions to people who had been in an extended coma and found that their MRI yielded answers to Yes or No questions from the patients.
However, while a patient can answer the question of whether to pull the plug and let them die or keep them on life support, how can the DR be sure that the patient is competent to answer on their own behalf?
Medical research dealing with consciousness can be very interesting.
For example, by changing my consciousness frequency or action potential firing rate of the pyramidal neurons in layer three of my brain, my perception of reality changes to the point that I perceive the stored memories of other people as physical objects, all the way back to their conception.
This resulted from damage in my brain to the inhibitory GABA neurons which serve as a braking system to keep brain frequencies in the lower Delta, Theta, Alpha and Beta frequencies. Our perception of reality is a function of the frequency of consciousness from which we view it.
This is how the mystics do their unusual abilities.
When Jesus taught us to “Love God”, He was telling us to always tune our consciousness to the highest frequency possible. When He told us to Love our neighbors as ourselves, He was telling us to find and remove the obstacles to Love that exist in our souls so we can remove the anchors and ballast that keep us in fear and anger so we can reach the higher frequencies of consciousness. This is the neuroscience of religion in a nutshell.
Do your friends tell you that it explains a lot about you?... humor intended....
I wait untill they think they have me figured out then I drop that bombshell on ‘em. It scares some but appears to have turned into a blessing keeping me from these blood suckers!
Of all the diseases, the brain prion diseases like mad cow cause me more concern than ebola and hemorrhagic fever diseases.
The prion diseases are very, very resilient and hard to kill.
I always mark the “No” box when asked about becoming an organ donor. Looks like that was a smart move to make.
thank you. I can also tell you doctors and hospital staff make NO money off organ donation and usually we have to call the chaplain in to be with the staff as it is traumatic for them as well. These are usually heart wrenching situations.
I take it you’re unaware of the documented literature?
And there is a critical difference between your own and that of a baby, who is a separate person with rights of their own.
You take it wrong. The movie is fiction. T7R is brimming over with new age foolishness which is contrary to the Bible. Near death experiences are real and indicate, just as remote viewing indicates, that there is a very real coordinate system of space and time which we do not sense directly in our conscious state, only in extraordinary circumstance or withy extremely rare capabilities. Stephen is a good Biblical example at his stoning death. Philip is another example of extraordinary events when he was raptured from Gaza to a town many miles away. Want more?
So how does the Wrren Beatty movie fit into your mysticism? You do realize the movie was fiction, right?
You are a deluded fraud, projecting a false character on me so you can strut your new age crap.
You spittled, “This is the neuroscience of religion in a nutshell.” satan comes with all signs and lying wonders and has easy fruit like you who will help him denigrate the Gospel of God’s Grace. Do you know where is the first heaven? Have you any BIBLICAL clues where is the second heaven/ Do you know that Stephen was given the ability to briefly see into the Third Heaven, the Throne Room of God?
The movie is a humorous parody of the subject.
You make me laugh. I’m not laughing at you as much as the tension you are holding right now in your body. You beat yourself up while trying to get to me. How ironic.
If by chance some day we meet, you will remember me.
