Not sure what your comment is in reference to. However, my take is that Trump knew exactly what he was doing along the lines of “keep you enemies closer”.
This guy was in on the Steele Dossier via his working relationships in the McCain Institute. And, we all know that it was McCain that hand-walked the dossier into the FBI.
Bill Kristol’s son-in-law as well as Mitt Romney were in on the origins of the dossier as well.
The thing about all of these people is that they have huge egos that need to be fed, so Trump uses the lure of appointing them to a position whereby he can keep an eye on them and leverage them to his own advantage.
In addition to good ol’ Kurt, Mitt Romney is a case in point...such a power-hungry whore that he would humiliate himself in front of Trump, just for the hope of receiving an important appointment.
And, like McCain’s stock puppet Kurt, I think that so will we also learn why Romney has become so vocal against Trump....think Burisma.

Volker served under W Bush & Obama and is dirty. He’s friends with McCain, and they’re both anti-Trump. McCain best pals with Biden. So the smoke leads to Biden and Volker. Volker probably volunteered as ambassador to run interference between a possible Ukraine/Biden investigation in order to protect his McCain buddy Biden’s son and Papa Biden. Volker was informed about Trumps intentions and hatched a plan to set-up Trump & Guiliani, Volker(plausible deniability), before the phone call with input from Biden and the Dem operatives. Something definitely stinks from the deep state swamp.
