Volker was a part-time volunteer. I’m sure he has expenses paid. Part of his income is from a lobbying firm. At first glance sounds like a conflict of interest.

Yep, that why you start defunding them. Trumps greatest weapon that he still isn’t using is the budget. Cut department funding in half, since all they do is try to undermine the government that funds them. It’s like keeping the cancer alive in favor of the host.

Volker was the U.S. special envoy to Ukraine. It’s a volunteer position, and he wasn’t a “government worker” by any definition.
