Seeking answers, NBC News commissioned one of the nation's leading cannabis testing facilities to test a sampling of THC cartridges 18 in all obtained from legal dispensaries and unlicensed dealers.
The findings were deeply troubling.
Of the three purchased from legal dispensaries in California, the CannaSafe testing company found no heavy metals, pesticides or residual solvents like Vitamin E.
But 13 out of the other 15 samples from black market THC cartridges were found to contain Vitamin E.
CannaSafe also tested 10 of the unregulated cartridges for pesticides. All 10 tested positive.
The products all contained myclobutanil, a fungicide that can transform into hydrogen cyanide when burned.
"You certainly dont want to be smoking cyanide," said Antonio Frazier, the vice president of operations at CannaSafe. "I dont think anyone would buy a cart that was labeled hydrogen cyanide on it."

Title is misleading. " fungicide that can transform into hydrogen cyanide when burned.", so tainted with a fungicide.
Legal vaping cartridges seem to be ok. Black market ones are not safe.

At least they aren’t tainted with Di-Hydrogen Monoxide.

Can hardly wait until marijuana is legal in every state.
Are we stupid or what??

As a vaper, I sussed that one out myself. I only buy from American companies who can certify every ingredient in their juice. These juices and cartridges from places like Bangladesh and Jakarta that are sold at the corner convenience store by clerks named Apu, not so much. Probably human remains and fertilizer in that shit.

That could cause drowning.

Counterfeit copies of the boxes used by legal dispensaries in Colorado to package weed vape are sold online out of China.
Dealers are buying synthetic weed vape and packaging it in the bootleg boxes and buyers think it’s coming from a colorado supplier.

In this case, these chemicals are actually harmful.
The regulators should crack down on stuff like this as it’s patently unsafe. At least tobacco and other vape juices are nominally safe excepting chronic usage causing trouble.

Can’t follow your reasoning even accounting for the sarcasm. The legal ones were ok.

"At least they arent tainted with Di-Hydrogen Monoxide." It's in everything I'm told. I signed a petition to ban it, but haven't heard anything.

In MA, there's a bill pending to allow sales of marijuana with your pizza delivery.
What ever could go wrong?

Gee, you s'pose vaping cannabis is a bad idea, period? Sort of like butt ramming, daily, with different strangers, and wondering where you got HIV?
Hmmm. What could it be?
