I hope it’s a promise I can keep. At least I’m hidden behind a keyboard in case I slip up. LOL

A night together in the pavilion with all the peacocks in torrential rain is almost as fun as playing parchisi in the parlor LOL

Me, a concert pianist? No.
I had 8 years of classical piano lessons, and in my teens I was a good third rate pianist. Too much pedal and sloppy fingering was my style, but people who didn't know their classical music thought I was wonderful. A professional would have told them otherwise.
The good thing was that I could sight-read almost anything in those days. In 1976 I was at a dinner in Seattle with the chief engineer of KING when the station manager's receptionist -- who later became a TV star at KATU in Portland and a longtime columnist for the Portland Oregonian -- asked me to accompany her for some art songs. The engineer was a fine pianist but couldn't sight-read, so I jumped in. It was my first taste of Samuel Barber, Richard Strauss and Franz Schubert.
Today, after warming up for an hour, I barely qualify as a fifth rate pianist.

Allegra pulled out of FR and cleaned out her home page. I don’t know what she’s doing.
