Donald Trump is considering bringing his tenacious former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski back into the fold to lead the fight in his impeachment battle.
'I have [had] no discussion with anyone in the White House about a job,' Lewandowski told DailyMail.com on Thursday.
He did not clarify whether he spoke to anyone about leading such an effort from outside of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
He also took to Twitter to weigh in and called the report '#fakenews.'
'As I have done for the last five years, I will continue to serve the President in any capacity he thinks I can be most helpful. However, I have not spoken directly to the President or his team about leading an effort to push back on the fake impeachment narrative #fakenews,' he wrote.
The president on Wednesday praised Lewandowski for his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee last week, where the former Trump aide squabbled with Democrats about his role in the Robert Mueller report and then tangled with reporters who questioned him about his testimony.
